Now, on an average day when I have a training program scheduled, I do a half - hour or so review of
my lecture notes in the morning and head off to the training site (a law firm or law school, for example) for half and full day practical skills training sessions with law students and new lawyers.

This report, taken
in isolation, might suggest that Whitehead wrote most of the book from
lecture notes after he delivered the Gifford
Lectures in June, 1928, but other evidence indicates that most of the book was composed beforehand.
I will speak briefly about the seven additional emphases
noted in the first
lecture: orthodoxy, postliberalism, liturgical renewal, multiculturalism, institutionalism, spirituality, and healing.

As we

lecture, for Whitehead God himself is not an exception to basic metaphysical principles but rather is their supreme exemplification.

I have studied some of the intricacies of the notion of a religion's developing,
in my Inaugural
lecture mentioned
in note 6, above.
As a matter of fact, not one but two occasions arose, within the last two years, when I was able to develop those
notes into
lectures that (
in a slightly altered form) constitute the present small book.
