I also find it difficult to get a great fit with just the one row of waist snaps; even with the snaps on the lowest rise setting, I keep
getting leg gaps.
I find it bulky, I
find leg gaps easy, and struggle to get what I want out of this diaper.
They are contoured, trim, and can be tricky with
leg gaps with their slim fit.
Overstuffing will
cause leg gaps and will cause the leaks I'm trying to avoid I get it, you're afraid of that cloth diaper leaking so you throw in some extra stuffing in an effort to help.
Experiment with different types of folds; the jelly roll fold is often more effective for chubby babies, and the newspaper roll may
prevent leg gaps.
This time, it worked great and there were
no leg gaps!
This particular diaper has excellent coverage even with all the layers inside, and I get
no leg gaps with these elastics.
I had
some leg gaps but that's because my baby is still tiny and has skinny legs.
If there's
any leg gap and your child's poop is anything but perfectly solid, that poop will not be contained.
When he sits there are
no leg gaps, and we don't get any poop explosions or unnecessary leaks (leaks happen when we fully saturate an AIO which does happen from time to time — mostly when I use them for naps, or really hot water days).
While it did not leak after the fitted was saturated,
leg gaps and an insufficient tightness could cause potential problems down the road.
And I suspect it will only be another week or two before
the leg gap fills in.
It's super cute, and I've had no leaks,
no leg gaps, no blow outs.
