I'd rather have the stock version with a
lot less bloatware as Sony sees fit to include a lot of largely useless apps around the edges such as Kobo, Amazon or even its own Xperia Premium app to offer events.
One good thing is that Zenfone 4 Pro ships
with less bloatware when compared to previous devices.
We were not surprised to see
less bloatware on the device, since Samsung has been following that policy from when company launched the Galaxy S6 smarphone, earlier this year.
The deciding factor is this: If you're one who generally prefers to shoot on auto mode, letting the camera do the heavy lifting with minimal input, you'll be better served by other Android phones with
far less bloatware, a smaller chassis and buttons with more «click» action.
Samsung's TouchWiz overlay
contains less bloatware and adds a bunch of interface theme options so that users can customize colors and other elements.
Motorola devices
feature less bloatware than some of their competitors, with the company sticking to an almost raw Android experience and the Moto Z2 Force is no different, launching on Android Nougat 7.1.
All New TouchWiz UI: The 2016 edition of Galaxy J7 comes with the improved Samsung Touchwiz UI, which is said to have
lesser bloatware then usual.
Samsung phones are a good example of it, as many users don't like TouchWiz and choose to «flash» an AOSP (Android Open Source Project) ROM, which brings a vanilla Android experience while
offering less bloatware and better performance.
«People
want less bloatware, less confusion and greater clarity as to whose apps they should be using,» IDC's Llamas told TechNewsWorld.
Stock Android on this type of device has a number of benefits:
less bloatware means better performance and battery life, Google's design language looks great, and the overall user experience is generally quite good from vanilla installations.
ZenUI 4.0 brings
even less bloatware, and will feature an updated UI to refresh the year - old devices.
The Galaxy S6 performs the way a flagship should, with a lot of credit going to Samsung's optimization of their Touchwiz software suite, that comes with a
lot less bloatware and unnecessary features than we've seen from Samsung in the past.
I like the fact that there will be
less bloatware on future phones, but this won't stop carriers from installing their own programs.
Huawei's skin on the Android 6.0 operating system is unfamiliar but inoffensive, featuring
far less bloatware than Samsung's or HTC's.
What Stock + UI entails is unclear at the moment, but our guess is that it'll
contain less bloatware and thus provide snappier performance.
The OTA update of Android Lollipop operating system also brought with it the new and leaner Touchwiz UI
with lesser bloatware and enhanced speed.
Again, we hope the American version will have
less bloatware.
Despite
the less bloatware claim, the Zenfone UI has a long way to go before it improves.
It is a much cleaner interface with a lot
less bloatware, that makes for a much snappier experience.
I am not a fan of confusing skins, UI, and while MIUI is certainly better compared to what other players tend to offer,
the lesser the bloatware, the better.
But it does still (somehow) have
less bloatware than your typical LG or Samsung phone.

less bloatware and pre-installed apps (no carrier software), and freedom to use the device on the carrier you choose...

less bloatware than previous handsets.

There's
less bloatware than the ZTE phone, too.
To be fair, ZenUI is much better than it ever has been, and since the phone is carrier unlocked, it means there's
less bloatware on it.
