Studies show older people with higher B12 levels
show less brain shrinkage and cognitive decline than their B12 deficient counterparts.
Researchers found that those receiving the B vitamin treatment s demonstrated significantly
less brain shrinkage as compared to the placebo group.
The study subjects who ate a diet abundant in these nutrients consistently scored better on mental performance tests and
showed less brain shrinkage.
For example that older people with dementia who have more B vitamins have
less brain shrinkage than older people with dementia who have fewer B vitamins in their diet.
