This way your lining and exterior fabric won't shift and you'll have
less seam allowance to worry about between your layers.

I always used to draw
seam allowance, but it was
less precise.
The lining piece will be the size of your pocket
less the size of the facing piece, plus a
seam allowance.
I did some extra top stitching to reinforce the sleeve and shoulder
seams since the
seam allowance was only 1/2 inch to start with, and
less than that after taking my pinking shears to them.
If you take more in, or
less than the
seam allowance, it will change how the waistband fits.
Trim the
seam allowances a bit
less than 1/4 ″.
