less structured conversations among peers.

Training staff, interns, and volunteers is a key part of THL's strategy of helping to grow the animal advocacy movement by increasing the number of committed, trained, animal advocates.189 THL has large and
structured volunteer, intern, and campus outreach programs designed in part to help participants become better advocates ready for positions of greater responsibility.190, 191 THL also tries to promote professional development among staff through
structured training for managers and opportunities to attend relevant conferences and trainings.192 THL tells us that they try to promote from within as much as possible, and we have observed this in several cases.193 In our
conversations with staff, we heard that while staff, interns, and volunteers all have opportunities for training and skill development, such opportunities tend to be much
less structured for staff and more reliant on the staff member to take the initiative, which may lead to
less overall growth.194
What was once our beloved American West, the promised land of adventurers and sleepyheads at the end of the motorized Oregon Trail that was Route 66, where an explorer's spirit was put to good use by way of burning rubber and gasoline whiffs, is now a
less magical place that somehow glows more fascinating because you only catch it in cracks of
structure and moments of
conversation, so it's never been more important; a rare, practically exotic essence drenched in seemingly endless sunshine.
And in those firms, often as not, the
conversations about legal technology are
less about deploying machine learning capabilities and more about implementing a basic, functional technological
structure that will help them run their practices more efficiently and cost - effectively.

conversations to just five minutes because she says this limits the anxiety of the topic and takes
