** At the recommendation of Deb's post, I used 1 cup of sugar, for a slightly
less sweet cookie since I was going to be using the filling (more like the original Oreo), use the greater amount (1 1/2 cups) if you want a sweeter cookie (less like the real deal Oreo) or if you do not plan to fill them.
Skip the step of soaking the coconut in water and sugar if you want
a less sweet cookie or are using sweetened coconut.

I tried honey, but since it is really very
sweet, you need
less and therefore the
cookie balls come out much more dry.

Because pure refined stevia can be 200 - 300 times as
sweet as table sugar, we'll use a lot
less in these
cookies!
The combination of rice syrup and almond butter make these bars
less sweet, with a toothsome, more substantial savory quality than most other versions, which are more often than not merely
sweet cookie dough made even
sweeter with jam.
I was thinking chocolate
cookies but I knew it had to be much
less sweeter and richer than the «real» chocolate
cookies.
The jam is also the main reason I enjoyed these «cat's eyes»
cookies as well, the jam was tangy and that made the whole experience
less sweet, I really did not enjoy
sweets much as a child.
They were drier,
less sweet, and held up well to being dunked into hot coffee or tea — just my type of
cookie.
Whole wheat flour is inherently denser (i substituted 1/4 cup white flour) and nuttier than white flour, so it will inherently taste
less sweet than
cookies made with white flour.
Have since tried your Nakd cashew
cookie ice cream receipe which was went down a storm and was
less sweet so will be using maple syrup for future ice creams.
If you like
less -
sweet cookies (like me) err on the side of using fewer dates and a touch more coconut flakes.

I tested this method with my Gluten - Free Oatmeal Chocolate Chip
cookies and found that the results were slightly softer and slightly
less sweet, but the
cookies still held together well.
But I wouldn't want a
sweeter chocolate here, nor would I want to decrease the maple syrup in the dough as it will make for
less spready
cookies.
It's also
less sweet so just know the
cookies will be too.
It was created when we wanted something
sweet but I didn't have the energy to make something elaborate - so I came up with a one bowl recipe that gives you a fresh batch of delicious
cookies in 20 minutes or
less.
They are also
less sweet than the usual
cookie.

I appreciate cooking for a diabetic has it's challenges and that this may not be appropriate, but it was not written for that specific purpose, but rather providing those, where appropriate, the option to have a
less refined and what is generally considered a healthier form of sweetener, not to mention much
less sweet than most
cookies.
I used slightly
less maple sugar to replace the sugars called for (it's supposed to be
sweeter than reg sugar), but I felt the
cookies could've used a bit of extra sweetness, so will use full amount called for next time.
Nursing moms can make these lactation
cookies which are chock - full of ingredients to support milk supply to leave you stressing
less and indulge your
sweet tooth.
I have a major
sweet tooth, so adding quinoa to my desserts allows me to add extra protein and nutrients to my treats meaning there's a little
