The patent fight billed as the «Ali - Frazier Fight of Biotech,» and a «clash of titans,» and the «last great priority dispute of the «first - to - invent» era of US patent law» (um, okay, that final image is perhaps
less evocative) had its first and only hearing before judges yesterday — and the line to get a glimpse of the brief proceedings
wound its way around the lobby Christmas tree in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office building in Alexandria, Virginia (a view of which can be found
here, in lawyer Jacob Sherkow's enthusiastic Twitter feed).
They are fairly rare on the dry beach around
here, probably because the local
winds are very erratic and the sand is
less sticky than ocean sand.
The action and excitement is elevated
here making it more exciting than its predecessor (with
less character development needed) but it does seem to drag at some long -
winded parts, which would have easily been excised out if this whole adventure was compacted into one film.

here in Devon we get prevailing westerly
winds blowing in clear air from the ocean but London is in a basin and is noticeably
less windy so bad air stays.
