No SGG, I'm saying that when we are really struggling to make the CL for next season and will face a # 45m loss in income together with many other damaging side effects, the idea of
letting any player go who could assist that cause is completely bonkers.

If we are to
let Ox leave, we need an improvement, a
player who will
go straight into the starting 11 as we will remain with Iwobi as the under study and Perez as the back up option.
As an example, buying Higuain may mean
letting Giroud
go because, they are similar type
players leaving the club with a slightly improved Giroud,
who may require another 2 seasons to adapt as he did at Napoli.
There are hoards of fans
who say «its early days» or we don't need any new
players or blah blah blah but in my mind it SHOULD work like this, Podolski, Sanogo, Myachi, Diaby, Arteta, Flaminni should all be
let go, Rosicky should be kept as he's a cracking little
player, and we should be in for and getting Schneiderlin or Kondogbia and either Lacazetta or Higuian or Benzema (not a fan of Martinez or Cavanni) and possibly Cech.
So
lets get this right debuchy could still
go & wenger says» we have plenty of
players who can play there?
goodness i can't believe it people will still defend him.You know something when Giroud misses many chances like at Monaco i did not criticize him even based on that you know why?its because he has always not been clinical. The only way a team can improve is by indentifying its problems and solving them.Arsenal has Giroud as the main cf and Welbeck as backup to him.Giroud has done well scoring some goals some too important but collectively he does more harm than good.Do not use moments to judge a
player judge him based on content.Giroud does not excel in many games than he excels in games. As a main cf you need to be consistent.I see people here saying Giroud can not dribble he cant do this he cant do that but its a bit crazy to criticize him for that because every
player has his own style.Giroud limitations as a
player costs arsenal and will cost us a lot. Most importantly his poor finishing which has cost us several times. Not good enough. His style of play is ok for us but a striker
who can take on
players and run behind defences very well would make us very strong and also should be clinical. For Welbeck he needs to works on his finishing and composure by doing the basic things right. He rushes infront of goal too much. For now he is just above average. However he can excel if he works on improving.Giroud and Welbeck will always be a pain in arsenal's neck for most part. Some will call me stupid but hey at least i want to analyze the problem.People may support Giroud or Welbeck to lead the line next season but as the saying
goes if you fool me once shame on you but if you fool me twice shame on me.Will you
let Giroud and Welbeck fool you again?
Ive been supporting Arsenal for 65 years to say im dissapointed, well words fail me Why did we
let the window slip by and not do the business in the begining get in quick and get our
players signed and out as well but NO we buggered about with the DREAMER for 6 weeks dithering with expensive so called talent and what we get another Frenchman, soon we will be able to say we have the whole french international team here The way to
go is to boycott the home games and make it known the fans run the club not the useless manager or the lackluster board
who do nt know
who plays for us and are not interested in football per say just the money Buy Kroenke out and
let him
go as well
Alexis Sanchez need to
go to club with a more ambition unlike arsenal, cos he is a winner and he needs to win more trophy, he scored 30 goals last season yet arsenal couldn't make top 4, that's to tell u a tree can't make up a forest but till now what has Wenger done to improve the squad to convince Sanchez to stay?nothing, and u expect him to stay with those
players who don't have winning mentality and a coach that lacks ambition, Sanchez don't need money what he need is quality
players...... my gunners fans all over the world
let's be truthful to ourselves, how many of us will still remain in arsenal fc if we were Sanchez, with arsenal transfer activities so far in mind?
There's basically no sense in allowing a
player leave for free. The disgraceful thing is he's our best
player and you're
letting him
go for free.PSG have also given us the chance to include Lucas Moura / Blaise Matuidi in the deal. Why not take Matuidi and run. Then
go all out to find his replacement before the season starts.I just don't see sense in keeping him.Common sense tells us that he should be sold. You're not granted the title with or without him and just so you know, teams have won the EPL with wingers
who are not better than Sanchez.Arsene should be smart before it's too late.I said weeks ago that if he knows in his heart that he's
going to sell he had better do it quickly before teams start placing mammoth prices on their
players as they'll know that desperation of suitors grows towards the end of the window.
Look at Barca, they
let go if the youth
players who aren't good enough and bring in quality each season.
Bottom line, if he is angered bench the
players who were not good enough and play those
who deserve some game time based on the Southampton game or on games where they had a positive impact: - Take Özil out and play Ox in the hole (he has to understand your the highest paid
player of the club, your given freedom like nobody else and your even seeking even more money with a new contract you can't play like that ever and
go AWOL)- Put Sanchez on the wing or up top but put Welbeck in (Walcott didn't track back near enough for the Alsonso goal)- Iwobi has been bright from the wing
let him play there - Xhaka has to
go back in the holding midfield role and I would take out Coquelin because he could've taken a foul on the hazard's goal.
Not
letting go of
players who aren't good enough or upgrading
players
who would of guest City would make an offer of 60 million in the summer for Sanchez with only a year left on his contract, i'm guessing we could get an offer of around 30 million from City in January so he wont be persuaded by the likes of PSG with a signing on fee in the summer, but
who knows what
goes in the mind of Alexis or what kind of injuries some big clubs could have from now until January for them to make ridiculous offers to a world class
player with no CL conflict of interest,
lets say Real Madrid loses Ronaldo, Bale, Karim to long term injury you bet they will come ceiling with baring gifts for Sanchez's services or even Barca with Messi or Suarez
Yes
lets play 2
players that won't be here next year and bench the one bought for 50 million and
who is naturally
going in between and behind the defence!
but, im ok with this vardy transfer... it shows us many things: 1) wenger is changing, something some of us have been demanding for a long time; 2) it shows that wenger is taking risks: think about it, he is buying a men for a not cheap price, knowing he could not getting anything after, with a future sell i mean... this is an act that shows wengers intentions to win something, the buy is not motivated by any financial or economic reason but only for a «get the f epl once again» reason... this is an act that shows us hungry, even if we fail, we could said we try... first ever, we really try; 3) finally but very important... vardy is the kind of
player we need... he is a warrior, a fighter... he has character... look at how he celebrate his goals... full of energy... he, like alexis, can motivate the team when the things are not
going in our way (something wenger cant do because of his age and because he has never been an active coach on the pitch)... the vardy transfer, if it finish well, is a demostration of a change, and a good one...
lets take care of winning things and do nt look the economic side for once... vardy is a bit old, but we can give a chance to welbeck after maybe, or akpom... u are not thinking about the future when we talk about ibra... guys: u complain when wenger do nt spend or because he is always looking for the bargain when u are the guys
who has to pay the very expensive tickets... u complain when wenger buy the always for the future guy... like morata... stop to complain for everything and be consequent with yourself... i would love auba, but it is not
going to happen... lukaku is awesome but the asking price is stupid...
lets try with vardy, give us the throphy..
if we are
going to get beat 4 - 0 then
lets play those
players who want to play and especially the ones we have bought recently to make the team better..!
You mention these
player's then
go on to say
lets look for new
players who are great at what they do, instead of our past
players?
What do you mean you do nt expect him to be good as De Gea.Why do you know anyone's future. If I was to be very honest with you even if we keep Ospina and sell Szczesny i do nt see him also becoming an all time great. To me he should
go to Roma where i believe he can become an all time great. He is better than Ospina in terms of skill in goalkeeping but what makes Ospina better than him is that he acts more matured. You guys keep bringing up stats but we can all bring up stats for even a
player who might not be better than another
player but stats will make him look much better.Even hits stats show he is legendary but in actual sense he is not legendary. If u think am lying or talking too much
lets Keep Ospina and sell Szcz and
lets see.
but i don't think we will
let him
go this window it would send the wrong msg to the other
players who we are trying to persuade to stay by saying we are strengthening the team and not selling a
player who still has years on his contract
We
let go a
player who we have a ready made replacement for and
who is not ready to wear the arsenal Jersey, and got good amount of money for him.
lol they have to be playing for us to know if they are concentrating, AW must be nuts if his saving Sanchez from a burn out for what and
who, Sanchez is
going in two months time so use him
let him burn out in January in Manchester FFS every team uses their
players back from internationals apart from us, poor Ramsy poor Sanchez they don't qualify for the WC
who gives a fluck do we deduct their salaries?
I would
let Ramsey
go for free and buy Forsberg from Leipzig
who is more accomplished as a footballer and take over from Carzola even his counterpart
who is heading to Liverpool next summer (Naby Keita) is way better than Ramsey and Wilshire combine — when you come to wenger's approach in the past it tells it all he never really intended to bring in quality
players he was just giving fans false hopes and played mind games when they happened to end up somewhere else he will come outwith BS like we almost sign him
but
let any
players who want to, and
who weren't cheaters, transfer immediately wherever they want to
go.
Now as well as being important in getting the Arsenal first team
players ready for action, this period could be crucial for some members of the squad
who are on the fringe and
who the manager may be thinking about
letting go, but which of the Arsenal
players are most in need of a strong showing in pre-season to secure their futures with Arsenal?
Wenger will be
letting go of both Podolski and Campbell to make room for a «special talent», a
player who is capable of playing on either wing or as a potential central striker, Wenger made Draxler his priority after Borussia Dortmund rejected any advance for their star striker, Aubameyang,
who would cost Wenger over # 40 million, instead Wenger opted for the cheaper yet equally talented Draxler for # 28.7 million.
Sam P is an example of someone
who can not see the way we as fans are being treated Year after year there is another excuse of why not to spend We have to pay for the stadium There are no better
players out there We would disrupt the squad by buying to many And now we have to sell first????? YOU as fans have a voice only this time don't stop after a few crappy wins Don't
go to the ground don't buy merchandise and
let's see if we can stop the money train
Let me guess, there was a time you wanted Coquelin
gone, Ramsey too, Per also, and maybe even Monreal 50/50, and
lets not forget the man
who bought us all these
players and introduced our exquisite brand of football.
its Money cause if it was trophy's it have be Man City my guess I think pep don't like how Sanchez is acting if I was Man City fan I wouldn't want him I use love Sanchez but he's true colors are showing arsenal have try offer nice package now I think he's been bit greedy with everything but
who can blame him we're shambles from top too bottom I don't care where he
goes I don't care we're ozil
goes and by looking at lacasette he looks like he wants out as promises have been broke he came play with Sanchez and ozil and he gets welbeck and iwobi not fair really, I just want wenger
gone because them
players are not playing for him a lot is not rite and we as fans are paying for it but I don't care anymore don't care
who leaves
who comes in club is dead watch Liverpool yesterday boy was I envy ahwell
let's see what happens
so
who is fibbing here??? if we can afford to risk loosing 100 million by
letting Sanchez, Ozil and Chambo
go for free next year why cant we just accept the paltry offers for
players we don't need in our squad any longer.
Mertz should never have been our captain in the first place...
who has ever heard of a team that makes 11th hour transfer buys (Arteta & Mertz) then seemingly places those same individuals into prominent leadership positions from the get -
go... indicative of the problems that have permeated our clubhouse for the better part of 7 years under the Kroenke & Wenger... what is wrong with the
players chosen and / or the management style of Wenger that doesn't develop and / or encourage strong leadership from within... Mertz was the fine collecting lackey from year one... this is what happens when you don't get world - class
players because many times they want to have a voice on and off the pitch and this can't happen when you play for a fragile manager
who has developed a coddling wage structure where everyone is rewarded for simply wearing the shirt and participating in the process... not enough balance between performance and pay, combined with the obvious favoritism shown to some
players regardless of their glaring lack of production... remember that Ramsey has played in positions that make no sense considering his skill - set (out wide) and has forced other
players off the field or into equally unfamiliar positions with little or no justification (
let's remember when you read articles about how Ramsey's goals this upcoming season being the potential X-factor for our success that this is the same individual
who didn't score a goal until the final week last season)... this of course is just one example of many... before I hear another word from Mertz I want this club to address the fact that no former
player of any real consequence has any important role in the management structure of this club, yet several former Gunners have expressed serious interest in just such an endeavor (Henry, Viera, Adams, Bergkamp... just to name a few legends)... there is only one answer: an extremely insecure manager!!!
Wenger it's time to look out of the square you should have confidence in the
players you bought rather than use older ones
who you will be
letting go anyway.
The Spanish giants could now be set to
let more big names
go this January, with the club seemingly looking to rebuild as they consider the futures of
players who will surely now attract interest from top European clubs such as Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea.
So if your gonna blame anyone
let's point the finger at the man
who signs, trains, motivates and retains these
players (the average, the permanently lame, the aged).
I would like to tell arsenal fan that the transfer window is not arsenal's problem.
Let explain what is in my mind.We need to reinforce our team but we need to think in the future that most of the high class
players are
going to refuse signing for arsenal fc because of Mr Wenger's philosophy. It looks like arsenal becomes cemetery of
players.How many
players came in and left because of performance, became good
players out of arsenal. We need to accept all of the transformation Mr wenger brings in arsenal but now it does not work. Why??? because lack of tactics, strategies and pretending best
players for Mr wenger mind but in reality those
players do not get standard of best player.Mr wenger wants to prove everybody that he is wright that
players who are calling by wenger are best.I means Mr wenger is the only one can see all matter in good position or bad.He is wrong by thinking this way.He does not like criticism.he is the mind of arsenal.Everything he can say or defend is wright.Think about morrinho comments about arsenal!!!! Why he likes to be arsenal coach!!!! One thing I want to say about arsenal
players, I think everybody watch arsenal games. We have got short mind
players who play two good games and the rest shameless. They are working hard in the training ground for catching Mr wenger's mind to
let them play; what is behind their (
players) mind to be the most regular
players.Those
players have no vision even ambition; they are never becoming high class and their carriers are
going to finish in arsenal after arsenal we are
going to see them playing for championship. They do not care to become legend as Ian wright, Vierra, Berckam, piress, Henry... What is the big behind their mind to use wenger name to be selected in national team. They are not able to face different leagues in the world.
If Wenger allows Burnley to finish above Arsenal it will
go down as the single biggest mis - management of this club in our history bar none.Burnley are a small town club with limited expectations but it shows what Good Management with Tatical Nous can do.Not a single Burnley
player would get anywhere near our SQUAD
let alone team and yet we are looking over our shoulder as they continue to over perform. And exactly
WHO is the so called novice manager?
Kroenke knows nothing about football therefore has no regard for the game, the
players or the nonce to know when to change a manager
let alone
who would be an asset at taking the club forward and to where it needs to
go to compete with the Big Boys in the league or Europe for that matter.
And
who are the 2 «major»
players we have
let go in the last 2 transfer windows?
life is all about gambles, you win some you lose some, we have taken a gamble on the likes of Walcott, Gibbs and its not paid off so
lets cut our losses and move them on, if they
go to another club and realise their so called potentials so be it, we can not keep giving them chances in the hope they will come good when all indications shows they are just average
players who won the lottery with Arsenal....
Meanwhile real live potentials
who we could use and
who are still (for a wonder interested in coming to the club) are ignored and passed up and generally
let go, along with the
players that are being loaned out due to their perceived lack of use to us, (Podolski and potentially Sanogo), though why the latter was ever considered a potential is beyond anyone with half a brain.
Real Madrid only ever sell a quality
player if they have a
player of even more supreme quality... i.e. Rodriguez came in and Di Maria was
let go... Simple answer is there are not that many world - class CBs available in the market so Madrid do nt have a replacement and therefore wont sell a CB
who can still be world - class for 4 - 5 more seasons..
You can not
let go your BEST
player and the one
who sweats every single bit of sweat when on the pitch for our club.
You feel sorry for him even if you are Wenger out, but he keeps putting faith in the same
players season after season
who let him down, for that he has to
go.
I am all for keeping
players who are full blood Arsenal but come on for the sake of progress we need to
let certain
players go and bring in better quality.
Lets hope he looks at former arsenal
players who have
gone there, none seem to have flourished.
I'm not even
going to try to mention
who I think these
players are, but they are all available if AW would be prepared to
let the chequebook talk.
Let's get real here.It is very unlikely that ANY professional
player will ever say anything derogatory about a teammate that has just left the club.If Jack had said about Coq - «Grew up playing with him in the Youth Team and have fond memories of a
player they though he had very limited ability he always gave his all.Very surprised and disappointed the club never invested in a World Class defensive midfielder that we have quite obviously been lacking for a number of seasons and would no doubt have improved the defensive weakness we have shown over a number of seasons» we would have echoed his thoughts entirely. If he had said about Theo - «A
player who should have been so much better than he ended up being. He had everything needed to be a prolific
player for our club but I can understand the fans frustrations with his continued lack - lustre performances and total lack of a football brain.I think this is best explained by the managers preference to play a
player of such limited ability as Alex Iwobi in front of Theo pretty much says it all» we again would have all nodded our agreement.Although Jack never mentioned Alexis Sanchez I would imagine something along the lines of «If the Manager had not persisted with
players with such limited ability such as Francis and Theo and instead bought the world class
players needed into the club then Sanchez would still most likely be here. The fans must wonder what the hell
goes on at the club as they pay fortunes for the privalage of following our club but it seems the millions generated ends up purchasing a new Texas Ranch for the Owner or in a yearly renumeration of # 9million pounds to our manager».
Oh these «gullible» fans you talk about are they the same «gullible» Fans that fork out hard earned good money to
go and support in all weathers home and away a bunch of
Players who lets face it win the lottery every week and then be mocked for daring to criticize them someone
who refuses to show commitment!!??.
Let's face it Arsenal fans, our German international star Mesut Ozil is not the sort of
player who is
going to win you games on his own, as the club's other top star and possible contract rebel Alexis Sanchez has the ability to do.
when did he find that out when he found out he might have spend money to buy
players why does he want keep
players who no longer want to play for the club and
let them
go for nothing when buy selling sanchez and ox he bring in close.100 m and buy v dyke lemarr and seri or draxler and still have money left from the so called.170 m war chest he supposed to been given
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where
players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current
players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi,
who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or
who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these
players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago,
who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often...
let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive
players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a
player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the
players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this
player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens
who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we
went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3
players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill
players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a
player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask
who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6
players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
