the level of the best strikers to ever grace the game.

The «
best striker in the world» scored 45 goals in the four seasons that he was actually in the Arsenal First team, out
of 153 apps in all competitions, but was seen as arrogant far beyond his talent
level.
Up front we have a few world - class players surrounded by some serious pretenders... Sanchez is by far the most accomplished player in our attack but the controversy surrounding his contractual mishandling could see him go before the window closes or most definitely by season's end... obviously a mistake by both parties involved, as Sanchez's exploits have never been more on display than in North London, but the club's irresponsible wage structure and lack
of real intent have been the real undoing in this mess... Lacazette, who I think has some world - class skills as a front man, will only be as
good as the players and system around him, which is troubling due to our current roster and Wenger's love
of sideways passing... Walcott should have been sold years ago, enough said, and Welbeck should never have been brought in from the get - go... both
of these players have suffered numerous injuries over their respective careers and neither are
good enough to overcome such difficulties: not to mention, they both are below average first - touch players, which should be the baseline test for any player coming to a Wenger - led Arsenal team... Perez should have been played wide left or never purchased at all; what a huge waste
of time and money, which is ridiculous considering our penny pinching ways and the fact that fans had been clamoring for a real
striker for years... finally Giroud, the fact that he stills wears the jersey is a direct indictment
of this club's failure to get things right... this isn't necessarily an attack on Giroud because I think he has some highly valued skills, but not for a team that has struggled to take their sideways soccer to the next
level, as his presence slows their game even more, combined with our average, at
best, finishing skills... far too often those in charge have either settled or chosen half - measures and ultimately it is us that suffer because no matter what happens Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke will always make more money whereas we will always be the ones paying for their mistakes... so every time someone suggests we should just shut - up and support the team just think
of all the sacrifices you've made along the way and simply reply... f *** off
Giroud on the other hand is also
good when utilized correctly, but I agree with many that we still need that special all round CF who a
level above the rest
of our CF's /
strikers.

strikers up top instead
of the lone
striker, I would hope that players at the
level required for arsenal would be able to adjust to this as it seems I tend to hear other teams coming away from big wins uttering phrases like «we worked on the manager's ideas this week and executed them
well», I cant remember our players saying this for a while.
I know this
level of consistency is superhuman and that the Wales team had
better strikers than giroud in Sam vokes and robson - Kanu but whatever you think
of him you can not deny the quality
of his euros performance, even in things not shown in stats like motivational skills.
even when he suffered a serious knee injury, instead
of accepting the fact that he would never stick his legs into the spaces that were crucial for someone with straight ahead speed to succeed, the club actually contemplated giving him a chance to play up top where his lack
of physicality, size and holding up play talents would been on display for all to see... these are not the actions
of a club that really cares about winning at the highest
levels, but they are the actions
of a club that wasn't interested in spending the necessary resources to purchases a world - class
striker, which is usually the most expensive position on the pitch... instead we adopted the horrible phrase «like a new signing» and proceeded to allow this ridiculous experiment to carry on, which ultimately caused some discomfort on the training pitch and inside the locker room as players battled for a position that shouldn't have been theirs for the taking in the first place... don't get me wrong, I believe that Walcott is a talented player, who can help a team reach their goals, if their goals are relatively modest... just look at the teams who supposedly expressed interest in his services and they weren't the kind
of clubs who aspire to win at the highest
levels... as for the reasons why he hasn't been bitching and moaning about moving on just look at the wage benefits he receives from our club and his obvious desire to enjoy the societal advantages that come with playing in North London for a club with worldwide appeal... so instead
of continuing to try to fix a coat with a broken zipper simply move on and buy a new and
better coat
The extra fitness and confidence that the big
striker will hopefully get at international
level is

Nothing like one underachiever blowing smoke up the ass
of another... we know that Ozil has some incredible technical gifts, but to be considered the
best you have to bring more than just assists to the table... for me, a top player has to possess a more
well - rounded game, which doesn't mean they need to be a beast on both ends
of the pitch, but they must have the ability to take their game to another
level when it matters most... although he amassed some record - like stats early on, it set the bar too high, so when people expected him to duplicate those numbers each year the pressure seemed to get the
best of our soft - spoken star... obviously that's not an excuse for what has happened in the meantime, but it's important to make note
of a few things: (1) his
best year was a transition year for many
of the traditionally dominant teams in the EPL, so that clearly made the numbers appear
better than they actually were and (2) Wenger's system, or lack thereof, didn't do him any favours; by playing him out
of position and by not acquiring world - class
striker and / or right - side forward that would
best fit an Ozil - centered offensive scheme certainly hurt his chances to repeat his earlier peformances, (3) the loss
of Cazorla, who took a lot
of pressure off Ozil in the midfield and was highly efficient when it came to getting him the ball in space, negatively impacted his effectiveness and (4) he likewise missed a
good chunk
of games and frankly never looked himself when he eventually returned to the field... overall the Ozil experiment has had mixed reviews and rightfully so, but I do have some empathy for the man because he has always carried himself the same way, whether for Real or the German National team, yet he has only suffered any lengthy down periods with Arsenal... to me that goes directly to this club's inability to surround him with the necessary players to succeed, especially for someone who is a pass first type
of player; as such, this simply highlights our club's ineffective and antiquated transfer policies... frankly I'm disappointed in both Ozil and our management team for not stepping up when it counted because they had a chance to do something special, but they didn't have it in them... there is no one that
better exemplifies our recent history than Ozil, brief moments
of greatness undercut by long periods
of disappointing play, only made worse by his mopey posturing like a younger slightly less awkward Wenger... what a terribly waste
«We have to buy a
striker because we want to have three
strikers of a
good level.»
Finally, if Wenger really cares that Arsenal go to the next
level with Lacazette in the
striker's role he will need to surround him with the proper kinds
of players, those who compliment his skills and give him a legitimate chance to lead the line... if they can spread the opposing teams back line with Sanchez on the left and someone
of consequence on the right (must purchase this individual), this would likely create some space for Ozil in the middle
of the pitch... having 3 players who can not only create their own opportunities, but provide assists and make
well - timed runs, could bring some much - needed directness back into our ticky - tack approach
of late... unfortunately instead
of making the tough decisions and spending the supporters money in the right places, we instead have wasted so much time bashing our heads against the same brick wall over and over again and expecting different results..

strikers out there
better than him.It is a saying that the truth will set you free.Giroud is on the
level of average but arsenal have made him look very
good only a few will see it.Those who actually watch his every move even without the ball and on it.If i mention the
strikers i will take over Giroud some
of you here will call me stupid.Listen if Wenger cant sign a
striker he should just get Charlie Austin he can finish off chances and he is a
good striker, He can be world class if he works hard.Only a matter
of time before he proves to the world what they have been but its like just his name does not excite fans.He is even light ahead
of Giroud and a neutral would be saying the same thing if he was watching them on tv always.
For what it is worth, in my opinion, we would have a
