level where
racing requires planning and restraint but learning the
mechanics comes naturally enough to new players.

leveling mechanic of Call of Duty = the best online
racing experience I've ever had.
Excellent sequel, balanced classes (with a few cheese high -
level moves thrown in — purely optional), new

race skills / stat growths), the return of summons (but better), and overall fun.
Each of the game's 27 different
levels touch upon a variety of
mechanics and goals: forming long combos,
racing, surviving as long as possible, hitting certain top speeds and more.
A few niggles with the
mechanics of
levelling up and getting cars aside, this is the complete package and sets the benchmark for
racing games.
With Sonic's core
mechanics focusing more on stopping and killing enemies without any way of being able to keep to the old play style where you
raced through
levels at high speed, was a real disappointment for many fans and it made it feel like the franchise was heading in a direction we didn't want to go.
