But the Entertainer Devil is no harder to believe
in and no more necessary than his alter ego, the
Liberator Devil.
The
Liberator Devil therefore encourages more democratic forms of desecration that combine moral outrage with entertainment, as is the case with rap artists like Ice - T or the rock singer G. G. Allin, who,
in an expression of artistic freedom, once defecated on stage and threw the feces at the audience.
This, of course, is the order of the illiberal Demiurge, who
in the interest of thwarting the
Liberator Devil will even go to the extreme of endorsing the efforts of Tipper Gore and her kind to clean up rap and rock lyrics.
In the modern incarnation, Snow White is prettier than the Queen, the Queen gets jealous and Snow White becomes a William Wallace-esque
liberator.
If reconciliation is indeed the basic Christian experience, we would be justified
in giving greater attention to the latter models (
liberator and moral example) than the former (penal substitute and sacrificial victim).10

The God of life, the
liberator God orients the struggle of his people
in a precise direction toward the establishment of justice.
The blue plaque at 4 Duke Street, W1 for Simon Bolivar (1783 - 1830), where he lived
in 1810, proclaims him «
Liberator of Latin America».
Fidel Castro,
in contrast, admired the General as a national
liberator,
in the Bolivarian tradition (and also for standing up to the Americans), while the Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat celebrated him as the defender of his people against military occupation.
Lamb argued (successfully) that the forces which had invaded Iraq
in 2003 were not universally seen as blameless
liberators, and that the difference between a 500 lb bomb and an IED was a technological, not a moral one.
He believes 9/11 is the most important factor
in the war against terror, and that we entered Iraq as
