Take the course
at your local public
library,
at school, a cyber café,
at work (make sure this is acceptable with your
employer) or
at your friend's house.
Employers select resumes highlighting
at least an Associate's Degree in
library science of information services.
Employers select candidates holding
at least a Bachelor's Degree in information or
library science.
Most of the
employers train the candidates
at the job itself but if you have a previous course and degree in
library assistance that will help you.
You may have successfully petitioned for a company
library at your current workplace, but that doesn't mean your potential
employer wants (or needs) to know about that.
Second, try contacting
employers directly, contacting friends, relatives, and mentors to see who they know whose hiring, look
at print publications (trade journals, newspapers, job service, the
library), and staffing agencies or recruiters.
