mom was unemployed * I needed income, I became a waiter.
Just
as you must juggle home

work, you should also juggle yourself and your role
as mom.
My mantra
as a
working mom to infant twins and a toddler is «do whatever makes
life easier».
Along with our directories for

mom bloggers.
I think it helps that my professional
life fits so much better with my role
as a
mom than it did when I was
working on my postdoctoral fellowship while pregnant with Laurel.
In my past
life as a business traveler I would cringe at the open seating policy on Southwest, but in my new
life as a
mom, it
worked perfectly.
This may be true for some
moms, but others find that they can find
work -
life balance through a flexible schedule, a partner who carries his or her share of childcare responsibilities or an extra pair of hands, such
as a nanny or grandparent.
You might look toward getting off the clock and spending all your free time with your kids, but there are still ways that you can balance your
work and home
life as a devoted
mom.

working full time isn't such a big deal since
as a teacher I
work with many other
working moms (although no one else has 3 small, close in age, children).
I may not have the perfect solution, but what I know is that
as a busy,
working mom, school lunch makes my
life much easier.
