Adopting a dog
from a shelter is one of the best things you can do to save pets
from euthanasia and enrich your
life.
Euthanasia is used rarely and only as a final resort when it has been medically determined that an animal is suffering
from a medical condition that is untreatable to allow the animal to maintain quality of
life, or exhibits extreme behaviors that are beyond correction and that are deemed unsafe to other pets, people, and to the animal itself.
As we hurriedly prepared for the opening of the Howard Ash Animal Wellness Center, our entire organization accomplished so much — thousands of animals were placed into loving homes, hundreds of thousands of
