Great reminder, it is
often hard to remember that growth in the
faith life of someone makes them more the person God wants them to be, not the person we want them to be.
Often, we get the impression that taking our
faith more seriously means adding a bunch
of spiritual activities to our crazy - busy
lives.
I believe that we are all born with an intuitive
faith in the goodness
of life; but it is a fragile
faith that can be easily lost when we experience cruelty rather than love,
often tragically early in
life, from those whom we intuitive trust and who are
often unconsciously passing on their pain to others.
Europe's wholesale abandonment
of its Christian
faith is
often explained as the inevitable by - product
of modern social, economic, and political

Personally i think those specific prayers are a distraction most
of the times we pray these prayers because its what we think we need and
often thats not the case.The better way is to just trust the holy spirit let him lead i think we miss the awesomeness

Often what churches need is not a better understanding
of the
faith, but a more adequate knowledge
of the society in which they are trying to
live it out.
The young adults who do drop out
of church
often lack a first - hand
faith — a
faith of their own — and a relationship with Christ that matters deeply in their own personal
life apart from their parent's pressure.

often the origins
of the
life of faith can not be clearly discerned and remembered at all, for it has grown out
of a long series
of decisions and acts
of trust.
The challenge for churches is to help channel teenagers» free - floating,
often vague interest in spirituality into sincere religious conviction that grounds a
life of faith.
It is a choice
of faith whether to believe that
life on this planet came into being and evolved all by itself, or under the guidance
of God, but failure to recognize that
faith is involved in both cases is simply ignorance —
often willful ignorance.

often dictated by the needs
of public examinations, but even within this some fine work could be done, and the
Faith communicated for what it is: essential knowledge, rich and deep, that opens wide the whole
of life's meaning and purpose and sets it in the context
of centuries
of God's revelation and 2,000 years
of Church history that is thrilling to discover.
Now this tendency, through the influence
of grace, is not
often exhibited in matters
of faith; for it would be incipient heresy, and would be contrary, if knowingly indulged, to the first element
of Catholic duty; but in matters
of conduct,
of ritual,
of discipline,
of politics,
of social
life, in the ten thousand questions which the Church has not formally answered, even though she may have intimated her judgment, there is a constant rising
of the human mind against the authority
of the Church, and
of superiors, and that, in proportion as each individual is removed from perfection.
Often they seek to find some bridge to the other
faiths through a «cosmic Christ» such as the one portrayed in the Epistle to the Ephesians, a Christ who is said to be present throughout the universe and who therefore presumably can also be found in the
lived worlds
of Hindus and Muslims.
That socialization has taken place within disciplines which ask their own questions — questions
often prompted by considerations other than the
life of faith.
Hindus and Muslims
often remind Christians on campus that we have allowed our
faith to be qualified and our intellectual
life to be truncated by the limits
of Western ways
of thought and economics.
