Maybe 10, certainly 20, years ago — if you talked about looking for
life on other planets,
then you were kind of nutty, right?
If that is the case,
then it follows that
life similar to that
on Earth would also develop in the right conditions
on other, equivalent
planets.
If finding
life on other planets is really NASA's most important goal,
then the Terrestrial
Planet Finder is the big enchilada of the entire spaced - based telescope effort.
It has worked for thousands of
others and if you're a human being
living on planet Earth
then it will work for you too!
Then life on other planets is considered.
... what I'm saying is that if we and all the
other species
on earth are the only
life forms in the universe and if there are no gods and let's face it apart from a few tired scrolls written 300 years after the death of Jesus and his disciples there is no actual proof of a God or gods
then we, the humans, who are meant to be at the height of the evolutionary tree, are in fact at the bottom because no
other species
on this
planet is enslaved to the economy.
Students will
then have the opportunity to discover how their actions during a normal day can have far - reaching impacts
on themselves,
other people, all forms of
life and the
planet itself.
I've been busy with
other things, and besides, like Microsoft's Steve Clayton told me a while back, «It already has a
life of its own, so there's no need to...» That being said, every now and
then I'll come across someone in the Microsoft ecosystem, either via email, Twitter or in person, who'll tell me a funny story about it e.g. like how they were in somebody's office
on the
other side of the
planet, and there they saw it, hanging
on the wall.
