living longer, more cars on the road, more factories making this and that, more books and movies and plays and musuem shows,
newer computers and snazzier iPods, and «
new and improved» everthing
under the sun, year by year, faster and faster, always wanting to
live «better» than the previous generation, always wanting «
new and improved gadgets and cars and airplanes, and quicker getaway vacations, and more and more consumerism and materialism and
ownership and «I want mine» and if we keep at this kind of «civilization» we are going to get slaughtered at some point when the whole thing collapses.
