The bench took two
light coats of primer, and then two light coats of chalk paint and it was fully covered.
Any brand of paint is good as long as you have at least 2
light coats of the primer on.
Once that dried I went over those spots with
a light coat of primer and used four coats of Sherwin Williams Alabaster white to give it a nice white finish.
Not exact matches
It looks especially good when you use a
primer first and add a
light coating of powder after applying.

Basically, you are suppose to use 1
coat of white paint as a
primer and then 1 - 2
coats of a paint color that is similar to mint /
light greenish blue diluted with water to a wash - like consistency.
Since the existing wall color will affect the new color's appearance, Andrea Magno, a color and design expert with paint manufacturer Benjamin Moore, recommends covering an area first with
primer and applying two
coats of the paint, particularly if a
light color is covering a dark one.
If it does, then I would roll on 1 — 2
light coats of stain blocking
primer first.
I painted the top with a grey
primer I had and then used a
coat of country grey AS and a
coat of coco AS followed by clear wax and a
light coat of dark.
We did a
coat of spray
primer, then the ORB and it's amazing how much it did to update that danged ugly

I used Liquid Sandpaper on the spindles, I did not do more than a
light scuff sand on them — there really wasn't any wood grain showing after
primer and 3
coats of paint.
Spray several
light coats of White Dual
Primer & Paint Spray paint on jars until thoroughly covered.
Then 2
light coats of water - based latex paint in any brand you like over the
primer.
A
light sanding and
coat of primer meant it was ready for a couple
coats of White Dove (OC - 17).
Once the
primer is dry then use 1 — 2
light coats of latex paint.
For me it is easier to use 2
light coats of stain blocking
primer (if the wood is stained) and then a
coat of paint.

coat of light gray over a lacquer based
primer before applying white paint.
