In 2005, Maruti Suzuki launched the Swift powered by a 1.3 - litre, 87 BHP petrol engine with
a light kerb weight.
With an old fashion naturally aspirated engine, manual gearbox,
a light kerb weight, a subtle body kit and a good power to weight ratio, is it the right combination for the enthusiasts?

At 148bhp it's less powerful than the old 168bhp 1.8, but the small drop should be somewhat mitigated by a

The Lexus has
lighter, less talkative steering and a heavier
kerb weight does the big Asian no favours when punching out of corners either.
With a
kerb weight of just 1540 kg, the base GT is 100 kg
lighter than the SLS, though extra equipment in the 1570 kg GT S reduces the savings to 70 kg.
This high tech engineering has resulted in a
kerb weight of just 1525kgs, 70 kgs
lighter than its predecessor.

With a 1570 kg
kerb weight, the test car C 220 BlueTec is by 15 kg
lighter than the former generation, although the body is by 95 mm longer, the safety standard has been upgraded and a lot of assistance systems, that were absent in the past, have come into existence.
With a
kerb weight of 1880 - kg it is a large and relatively heavy car though
lighter than the Merc CL or Bentley Continental GT.
