On the
upper body focus day I like to add in
light leg
work into the warmup.
The rationale is as follows: Starting with day 1, your heavy
upper body work will (clearly) not fatigue your lower
body, and a
light, relatively short distance slow pace run will be easily handled.
I'm
working my tail off at straightening my
upper body muscles with
light weights and circuit training.
Class begins with a warm - up in the centre floor, followed by
upper body work using
light weights, high repetitions and isometric holds.
Bodyweight exercises is like a medium -
light workout that doesn't tax my legs too much,
works my core and
upper body, keeps me active and my blood moving during the week.
1) I feel the top half of your
body is carrying more than it's share of visual weight — your «apple top» combined with the dark jacket is making a very strong
upper half... and then the bottom 2/3 can't balance it out — the
lighter color and long columnar shape, I don't feel it's
working.
