like Target, Babies R Us and Walmart, and it is affordable (prices vary but you can generally get a pillow and slipcover for $ 35 or less).
When I think about products that are must - haves for parents I think of things
like Diaper Genie,
Boppy pillows, Pampers diapers, MAM pacifiers, Snack Trap, and Bumbo -LCB- to name only a few of my favorites -RCB-.
I also
liked the fact that the
Boppy can be used as an infant support pillow for tummy time, sitting and propping up baby.
It's so funny when I see articles
like this, because my usual reaction is «Yawn... boob, baby,
boppy... what else do you need?».
I actually have a My Brest Friend — it took the basic
Boppy styling and improved on it by adding a waist strap to hold it in place around mom, contours to raise the baby's head a bit, and even a pocket to slip must have items
like a burp cloth or snack for mom.
However, the thing I
like about the
Boppy is that it doesn't have just one use.
Now that she is 2 months old and a bit bigger, I will put her in her
Boppy pillow for breastfeeding because it is impossible for her to roll over in it (trust me, I've watched her for hours) and will lay with her
like that.
In doing so, I put my daughter in far more dangerous situations when I would do things
like fall asleep while nursing on the couch or sitting up with her in the
boppy.
There are always regular pillows, of course, but what I
like about the
Boppy is that it curves around my belly to support my baby all over, and it's so firm it doesn't require a lot of shifting around and fluffing up.
The
Boppy pillow is cute and very popular — and I
liked mine for other things,
like propping up baby for photo shoots or tummy time — but for nursing, I much prefer the My Brest Friend (although again, the name is hideously awful).
This is such a great product as a variation of a «
boppy»
like I had when Gent had tummy time.
At first, I thought I
liked My Brest Friend better than the
Boppy.
It's definitely smaller than a
Boppy, but I
like it because it's easier to travel with.»
