like the Dreamcast suffered from Sony selling a dream i.e. all these over-hyping and in it's first 9 months (or so) sold only 5 - 6 million consoles world wide.
It looks
like a Dreamcast era game as it features plenty of wacky character designs, colourful and trippy tracks, and has an overall funky early 2000s aesthetic.
The whole presentation of World Series of Poker is a total turn off for this game as it just looks
like a Dreamcast game, which is definitely not a nice thing to be saying this late in the Playstation 2's lifespan.

But I am speculating that,
like me, those Gamecube owners who did not upgrade to a Wii here would have included those who had once looked to Nintendo for subtle forms of technological innovation, who tended to support the sales underdog (such as the
Dreamcast) and who
liked a feeling of overall quality.
Of course, if the Wii is discontinued after a lesser period e.g. 4 years, it might get closer to
Dreamcast -
like sales of 10 million.
Reclaiming the city and whatnot, getting back to former glory without over reaching
like the 32x - > Saturn - >
Dreamcast debacles.
I hardly doubt they sat around the drawing table and said «Ok guys we have all this processing power, let's make it look
like it was designed for the
dreamcast»
Splatoon If you had told me in January my highest ranked pure shooter would be a new IP from Nintendo that looked
like it belonged on the Sega
Dreamcast.
Battling two Skylanders together actually feels a lot
like SEGA
Dreamcast classic Power Stone.
Does Crazy taxi have any of the licencing

Secret of Mana still has changed sprites into polygons but they feel
like a rush job, with the quality being around PSone /

Or maybe its the fact that Sony has come out swinging with realistic expectations

Off the top of my head, and I am open to correction on this, I believe there to be nine games in this series: one for the Super Famicom, two for the Gameboy, one starring a younger Shiren and Kappa for the N64 (which I
like to call Jim Henson's Dungeon Babies), one for the Sega
Dreamcast, one for Windows, one for the Wii, and two DS remakes, of the SNES and first Game Boy games.
As you make your way through the various decades, you are introduced to handheld gaming consoles
like the Gameboy and PSP, parodies of the NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, PlayStation, N64, Sega
Dreamcast, Xbox, Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, and eventually the PS4 and Xbox One.
