like Smashwords actually use a staff of people to
review content prior to publication, Amazon has found that the sheer number of
ebook uploads to its catalog makes that impossible.
There are a few things about the Sony PRS - 650 that could use improving, mainly the same things that are listed on the PRS - 350
review: the lack of styling options, such as changing line - spacing, margins, font type, etc, all of which requires adding fonts and editing the CSS file of an
ebook to change styling; the fact that landscape mode breaks pages into two sections for
ebooks, showing duplicate sentences; and other minor annoyances

like Amazon has it backwards, as they are commissioning a live
review of each title in the Kindle Singles division while knowing that those titles sell for as little as 99 cents, while their
ebook division can charge far more for a title but does not provide the same attention to detail as the Kindle Singles.
The software is 95 % the same as Kobo's other
ebook readers, including the Kobo Glo, Kobo Mini, and Kobo Aura HD, all of which I've
reviewed over the past year so I really don't feel
like writing the same things over again for the fourth time.

like them to consider posting it, they require a minimum of five
reviews.

review of style and structure at the code level; we do not simply export and deliver
like other services that use only a compiler from one
ebook vendor.

reviews, Tweet packages, book listings on GoodReads, SelfPublishingReview.com and other sites, press releases,
eBooks, free memberships for sites
like Author Marketing Club and much more.
Social proof, much
like online
reviews, give potential buyers the added confidence needed to buy your
eBook.
The focus of the challenge is
ebook freebies, whether downloaded from a retailer
like Amazon or received for
review through NetGalley or Edelweiss.
«If it is something that people in my area would
like and is well
reviewed but is in a less popular genre (such as sf or fantasy), I may just buy the
ebook version rather than have to weed it in a couple of years,» clarifies John Mundy, Perry County Public Library, IN.
Like ebooks and print,
reviews are critical to provide social proof and convince people to buy your audiobook.

Usually I just nab random
ebooks from the genres I
like to read (I mostly read fantasy albeit I'll accept horror as well) without even bothering to read the plot or
reviews.

BUT, here's what I fail to understand about publishers» fears about
ebooks and libraries: they give away free books by the truckload to scores of reader /
review blogs across the «net, they give away truckloads of books at conventions
like RT and RWA, books are given away on GoodReads and Library Thing, and they are given away via Amazon's first reader program.
