With this all being said, I do wish that Nintendo had given the
GamePad every better advantage, such as better trigger buttons that feel better with response (trigger buttons should feel
like, well, triggers),
support for up to four
GamePads, and at least present the option multi-touch version of the
GamePad available.
And still, I am glad there is at least some Wiimote
support there and I still
like the
Gamepad, so I guess I can't really tell, what's the best way to go.
And that's what I don't
like about the
Gamepad, Nintendo went away from that forced Wiimote
support in certain games.
While I would have
liked to have seen some
gamepad specific
support on this game outside of off tv play, perhaps this will shut people up about «gimmicks», and poor battery life.
Not just because I think it's the only console to be able to
support 9 players at once (wiimote + classic are two people x4, then
gamepad), but I've played it
like a month or two ago and it ran properly.

There are very few games which

There currently isn't built - in
gamepad support (since I need to migrate related code to use current versions of functions), but you should be able to use a program
like Joy2Key for
gamepad controls until then.
The only problem is that you can't have games
like your Four Swords description because the system only
supports up to two
GamePads (at the cost of framerate), and it doesn't even do that yet.
There are a ton of console ports on mobile, both old and new, and some work better on a touch screen than you'd think — though you can always buy a
gamepad for a more console -
like experience (provided the game in question
supports gamepads).
