We liked Ryse: Son of Rome a lot more than we expected, and while the co-op mode wasn't the deepest or most versatile, what it does it does well.
That being said, I liked Ryse's characters a lot better, with some great dialog and mocap.

I do nt see MS and Epic abandoning such an «epic» partnership like they had this gen.. That said you never know, Crytek may just be MS's new Epic and Ryse will become the Xbox One's Gears of War.

To that I say, to achieve that visual quality (that's not even better than pc) pretty much all the new games except for non gpu / cpu intensive game types like racing games (forza 5) you're dropping to locked frame rates of 30 (dead rising 3, RYSE, Assassin's Creed 4) which the majority of those don't even give you 30 like they say but more like 26 the majority of the time but can dip as low as 16 fps for more than just a few seconds... This idea that it takes developers time to get «used» to the systems and optimizing it over the years is complete and utter bullshit, that's not how development works.
You still have Halo, still got Ryse and if you like Gears you might have that soon, too.

Sony spent 2011 & 2012 making games for the PS3... so they're a year behind MS who dropped the 360 like a rock and focused on exclusives for next gen. Ryse, DR3, and Sunset Overdrive were all 360 games at one point.
Graphics on the whole do seem to be a step up from current gen editions, but it probably won't floor you like certain other games such as Ryse: Son of Rome or Killzone: Shadow Fall.
