you like Vocaloid music?
I hate most rhythm games, mostly because I'm inherently terrible at them (but also partially because I don't like a lot of the music)... but
I like Vocaloid music enough that I think I might give this a try on my vita... I wouldn't ever play a game like this on a home console so I gave a pass to the PS3 version, but I can see myself playing this at a hotel or on the bus...
If
you like Vocaloid, you owe it to yourself to get this one.

The service boasts itself as a place for fans of anime, manga,
vocaloid music, cosplay, and the
like.
While
vocaloids like Hatsune Miku are still relatively unknown in the West, they have quite the following in Japan and can be found taking part in everything from live concerts to limited edition smartphones.
If you,
like me, know little about Hatsune Miku or
Vocaloids, this game has the potential to turn you into a fan.
It's amusing if you're a hardcore fan of the
Vocaloids, but it's a bit barebones from what you'd normally expect as a «story» mode and feels more
like fluff to get people to try out the different songs they might not otherwise attempt normally as you need to clear at least a specific high score to move on.

As this is an arcade port, we also don't get to see things
like Diva rooms (which have you interact with
Vocaloids a la Fire Emblem Fates or Pokemon) or edit mode (where you can make your own sadistically hard charts).
Like the first in the series, Project Diva X is a music rhythm game in which the player follows a series of button prompts in sync with the music while an in - engine performance featuring one of the few
Vocaloids plays out in the background.
It also helps that there's something for everyone interested in
Vocaloid, from the hard - rocking Senbonzakura to classics
like I'll Miku Miku You (For Reals) to memes
like the Nyan Cat song.
Behind the computer - generated voice and appearance are actual songs by real creators, making Hatsune Miku and her «
vocaloid» colleagues much
like a Japanese spin on Gorillaz.
Since all this moaning might not apply to you if you play on PS3 or if you
like heavy use of touchscreens, well then there's that; look forward to another catchy rhythm game loaded with endearing
vocaloids.
B. Enjoy watching Japan get those cool anime - themed outfits from things
like Index or Disgaea or
Vocaloid and the
like — if Infinity was any sign, we won't be getting any of it (in fact, the last time we got anything
like that was in PSP2's Evangelion plugsuits, and even then we got the censored versions of said costumes while Japan got the saucier ones).
