The truth is, everything on this list is worth doing in your twenties (or your teens, if you're so inclined) but we talk
about it
like this because though nothing magical happens on your thirtieth
birthday, 30 years is enough time to work out some of life's kinks and pick up on some good habits.

The older I get, the more I feel
like the best thing
about birthdays is CAKE.
Again, these are a treat that I don't buy for my kids very often, but for a special occasion

birthday party, it's something fun and different that I knew my kids would be excited

The story started
about two weeks ago when I asked my youngest Nutella loving daughter what kind of cake she would
like for her 15th
birthday.

As each time I try to mention sex to my husband he takes me on a guilt trip, and then finally telling me that a marriage is not all
about sex its more than that... recently for my
birthday for the first time in four years he didn't reject me... i got a pity sex lasted for
like a min but even for that 1 min I felt desired I felt wanted and i saw a tiny ray of hope that things would be different from this point on.
I think it will be top of his

like to try the Wii fit or Just Dance, as I haven't done any exercise for
about 7 years.

After Scarlett's recent
birthday party, during which she collected quite a few board games, I was chatting with Heather
about which ones our children really
like to play.
The trick is to think
about the activities your child
likes to do and then try to come up with
birthday party ideas that can incorporate his interest.
I've since found out they offer freeze pops (sugar, water, food coloring) as a form of hydration, occasionally substitute her afternoon snack with «Special Treats» when they're doing a group activity
like watching a movie, vanilla wafers... as early as 9:30 am, donut holes when supplied by a generous parent who tends to do it nearly weekly, and then
birthday and holiday party treats (which I knew
about but have concerns
about frequency and being informed when it's happening so I can adjust her other meals accordingly).
Several years ago while watching a TV show
about a family with multiples I noticed that they sang one round of happy
birthday then read off each child's name
like morning roll call.
I don't know, I just feel
like my parents made my
birthdays a blast as a kid (and my sisters as I was old enough to remember just
about every one of hers) without making me feel
like my
birthdays were all
about gifts.
When they understand this, they quit worrying
about adult things and are able to think
about kid things again,
like their friends, games, school, and
birthdays.
That's a tradition we started to celebrate Will's first
birthday, and it's one we plan to continue — I don't
like balloon releases because of the ecological impact, and there's something very calming (to me)
about watching the waves carry the flowers away from the shore.
I especially

birthday.
If you decide to do this one, I would recommend: 1) dropping all pacifier weaning talk until you are actually ready to begin the weaning process, and 2) timing it so the «goodbye» day lands on something awesome and positive,
like his

birthday party day or special family outing that will keep him from feeling sad
about it.
If your baby has NOT been introduced to whole eggs, then you might
like to think
about giving them to him just prior to his
birthday.
It seems
like there's a small window of acceptability when it's OK - ish — both talking
about it and doing it, as long as you're discreet and suitably covered up — which closes sometime before the first
birthday.
Most parents think
about potty training with their toddler after
about 18 months or as he approaches his second
birthday but,
like most milestones in childhood, there are no absolutes.

It was such a great
birthday to do acts of kindness; I ordinarily don't
like my bday much and this made it less
about me.
Even though I believe and agree with the comment most people make
about love being celebrated everyday, or any given occasion, I also believe that reminiscing love on a certain day just
like how we celebrate our
birthdays, isn't a bad thing in its own.
I promise this is the last post I make
about my
birthday, or my party (at least for this year), but I wanted to share with you the
birthday gifts I got, because I really
liked them.
One thing that I love
about fall is that I get to wear boots, and one thing that I

birthday is getting * new * boots!
