I was looking for alternatives and found everything from chia custard to cauliflower (I am so curious as to what that would taste
like as porridge, but haven't been brave enough yet).
I, too, have amaranth and have found that I don't really
like it as porridge so I'm looking for other uses.

I initially tested it to be more
like their
porridge which had spelt berries but I found that I preferred the texture of just the oats
as the berries were a bit too chewy.
As a rhubarb fan I can tell you that there's nothing quite
like the tangy taste and radiant rose - red colour that these divine stalks bring to a dish, especially when baked in pies and crumbles or stewed and spooned over
porridges.
Quinoa: I haven't tried this recipe with any other soaked seed or grain, but I suspect that it would work with anything that cooks in water

I made your summer
porridge today with homemade yogurt and, while it was different and not
as sweet
as store bought yogurt I am trying to get my kids off of, my kids admitted (after I made them eat about 1/3 cup) that it was good and the more they ate it, the more they
