Unfortunately,
like some of the malfunctioning robots in the movie,
Automata is a clunker.
While not quite as great as some of its proponents say it is (and having slightly less impact if you saw some of the same narrative tricks used in its 2010 prequel), Nier
Automata feels
like it's on the cusp of greatness and maybe misses getting there by a hair.
At the same time, the strong digital sales for games
like Nier
Automata have resulted in an increase of operating income.
