I suffer from Crohns and have cut out a lot of bad carbs
like bread however I find that
nuts and oats also cause issues along with
bananas & berries.

nut or seed butter, protein powder, pure vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
The texture is moist and chewier than any other paleo
banana bread I've made, has a great mildly sweet flavor, and you can dress it up any way you
like (chopped
nuts, chocolate chips, raisins, blueberries, etc!)
Mornings go
like this: four bleary eyed adults grasping for coffee, a toddler ecstatic to be awake, trying to manoeuvre around and find something (paleo) acceptable to eat, find
banana and
nut butter, toddler steals it for himself, mommy doesn't eat.
Funny but I actually don't
like nuts in
banana bread.
They started off pretty basic with just some
bananas and
nuts before I dove into some crazier flavors
like this mocha version or this pumpkin spice latte version.
Add in
bananas,
nuts, berries, granola, cacao nibs or whatever you
like.
In addition to changing the flavor of the crust you could substitute almond butter or cashew butter for the peanut butter, and you could top the pie with anything you
like —
nuts, vegan whipped cream,
bananas, etc..
** I've tried this with almond butter and peanut butter, and
liked both — though the almond had a much more classic «
banana nut» flavor.
From there, you can add whatever you
like: berries,
banana slices, pureed fruit, cereals, seeds,
nuts, you name it.
My thoughts are that diet is the underlying cause of acne and coconut oil could help they symptoms... but to cure or avoid acne you must identify the food triggers such as
nuts, seeds, high sugar fruits
like bananas, fried foods, caffine, etc....
They are great to sprinkle on top of savoury spreads
like hummus or smashed avos, but also on top of
nut butter and sliced

I've tried using chia, flax,

nut butter, agar, potato... they either didn't work or tasted
like the bottom of a shoe.
Larabar — they had their new uber bars at the show, with dessert-esque names

No matter if you spread
nut butter onto freshly toasted bread in the morning,
like swirling it into piping hot porridge, eat it with
bananas or apples as an afternoon snack or include a couple of tablespoons in a delicious dinner recipe, I could not image not have a variety of
nut butters as a staple in my kitchen cupboard.
I enjoy my
nut butters on bread, in oatmeal, slathered on fruit
like apples,
bananas and plantains, in pancakes, with dark chocolate for a little dessert or right off the spoon.

like pecans)-- Bake in muffin tins instead of a loaf (usually takes about 20 - 25 minutes at 350 F, I make these weekly for school snacks and they're the bomb)-- Reduce sugar to 1/2 cup for more of a snack and less of a dessert — If I'm in a hurry, I just do 6 T boiling water and 3 T cocoa powder and just mix it into the whole thing!
