I make a lot of pasta with simple sauces
like butter, garlic, lemon, & thyme, or bacon, tomatoes,
basil, balsamic & parmesan; I will add shrimp or chicken for variety; we grill a lot of vegetables with simple vinaigrettes; last night I had chicken breasts and a half bag of nearly stale pretzels
so I crushed them, coated the pounded breasts and deep fried them, served with beer cheese sauce & a green salad.

Oh what a poor pumpkin, I live in an apartment without a garden
so I just have my herbs but I understand what it's
like to raise a war against insect infestations (my thai
basil is currently recovering from an aphid invasion!).
I have an abundance of rosemary, oregano, chive blossoms and
basil in my backyard,
so this sure looks
like dinner to me.
The purple
basil is
so fragrant that my entire car and kitchen now smell
like basil.
So while making pesto out of all kinds of crazy colorful veggies sounds
like fun, I'm always a bit disappointed at the lack of
basil - y flavor.
Tip: Using only
basil in pesto can be pretty pricey and if you're
like me and grow herbs in your garden or in pots around your house, you don't want to take a whole bunch for just for one recipe,
so using spinach and other herbs helps!
They topped it off with
basil apricot relish
so there will be a sweetness to balance out the mustard, and sweet fruits
like apple sauce are often paired with pork chops because they simply go really well together.
That caprese is
so uniquely plated, I really
like the cascading
basil.
This was
so yummy, I used the
basil pesto because I don't
like tomato sauce.
Japanese eggplants and bell peppers were beautiful at our farm market today,
so I used them, along with some spinach from the grocery store and some Thai
basil from our garden, but feel free to use any of your favorite Thai ingredients
like small cooked cubes of sweet potato, green peas, cilantro, mint, etc..
I
like to make a large batch and freeze it in ready - to - use portions,
so I can easily enjoy it long after fresh
basil is gone.
Love the pesto with the
basil and spinach in it and I adore coconut milk
so this looks

Eggs / omelet with veggies
like tomatoes, mushrooms sautéed with olive oil then cooked with the eggs and sliced up with fresh spices
so I don't become a bland eater, either
basil or CILANTRO!
I tore up the leaves a big but it wilted
so small that it looked
like basil really, and everyone ate it.
The
basil flavor in this recipe is secondary to the strawberry,
so don't worry that your truffles are going to taste
like salad!

so are herbs
like oregano and

I know you have the MCT pesto recipe for the pure fat / protein days,
so I'm assuming herbs

My tomatoes typically do pretty well but I get lazy when it comes to tying them up
