I love all ice cream, but my favorite is vanilla with something else in it,

like (aka stoner) genius of this idea, Justin's created a single, hand - made batch of nirvana on a spoon:
chocolate almond butter with

In an early trial of this recipe I didn't have
chocolate chips on hand so I did this as a backup plan, but I ended up really
liking the texture the larger
chunks of
chocolate added so I kept using this method.
DIY cookies are versatile in that the recipe can be tweaked to suit your
liking: mix and match your favorite add - in ingredients — dark
chocolate chunks, white
chocolate chips, chopped nuts or seeds, dried fruit.
1/2 cup
chocolate ganache, room temperature (if you don't have some on - hand, just melt together about 3 tablespoons vegan
chocolate chunks or
chips — I
like dark
chocolate — with about 5 tablespoons non-dairy creamer and allow to cool)
Here is the first recipe I'd
like to share, to make the most of the tail end of the sunshine and warm weather... «Cashew Cookie Dough Ice Cream» using Nākd's Cashew Cookie bar for the cookie dough
chunks and the Cocoa Delight bar for the
chocolate chips.
1/3 c of all purpose flour, unbleached 1/3 c of whole wheat four 1.5 c of quick cooking rolled oats 2 tbl flax seed meal 1 tsp of baking soda 1/2 tsp of salt 6 tbl of I can't believe it's not butter 3/4 c packed light brown sugar 2 tsp vanilla extract 1 large egg 1/4 c of pistachios, shelled 1/2 c of dark
chocolate chips or
chunks (or more if you
like)
And you can go ahead and add in anything else that floats your boat;

chunks, cocoa nibs, any nut you
like, even some fresh or frozen berries, or dried fruit.
And although at the time I felt
like I was wasting a boatload of precious ingredients, to say it was worth it would be a total understatement because now we have what I've been referring to as the best vegan
chocolate chip (err,
chunk) cookie recipe, ever.
You can stick with one kind of
chocolate if you'd like, but I'd highly recommend chopping some good chocolate and combining it with Nestle's Chocolate Chunks or at least with their dark chocola

To assemble, layer banana bread or boogie bar
chunks with the peanut butter mousse and top with
chocolate chips, granola, banana slices and whatever else you

chocolate chunks are just knife - or hand - chopped pieces of
