The menu was
like a snapshot of my youth, with offerings
like Filipino - style spaghetti (it's a bit sweeter than what most Americans are used to) and «Halo - halo» (literally translated, «mix - mix»), a delicious dessert made up of shaved
ice, evaporated milk, fruit,
coconut,
ice cream... and boiled sweet beans.
They even top your
ice cream with an incredible
coconut oil and cacao sauce and then you can sprinkle on toppings
like dried mulberries, cacao nibs and bee pollen.
Since I didn't want my
ice cream to taste
like coconut, I used a very tiny amount, which is all you need.
I know that not everyone
likes the flavor of
coconut, though, so last time I felt
like making
ice cream I decided I'd try my hand at another type of
ice cream.
Soft cake -
like pumpkin cookies with strong hints of
coconut, topped with
cream cheese
icing.
I need a buttercream frosting that tastes
like coconut, I have done the peanut butter one, it was great but family are
coconut lovers and do not
like whip
cream icing.
(of course, I just had to;)-RRB- The weather today was almost autumn
like, so I skipped the
ice and had it for breakfast with a hefty dollop of whipped
coconut cream!!!

I've found that I don't
like coconut milk by itself (or even in dairy - free
ice cream), but... I don't taste it at all when I use it IN recipes.
Cookie doughs are indeed mouthwatering and I
like them in
coconut ice cream.
Coconut milk is much creamier, almond milk is a little thick but bland if you go for the unsweetened kind, and flax milk tastes
like melted vanilla
ice cream.

coconut provides little more then something to make it prettier (unless you really load it on) and the banana freezes and becomes
like a little bite of
ice cream.
* Two 15 - ounce cans full - fat
coconut milk, divided * 3 full droppers of Vanilla stevia (or 3/4 cup sugar if you'd
like it closer to traditional
ice cream) * pinch salt * 2-1/2 Tablespoons cornstarch * 1 cup roughly chopped cherries (frozen is OK) plus 3 - 4 extra for
ice cream base * 1/2 cup chopped chocolate
Combining
coconut milk, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, and sweet spices, this
ice cream is a fall treat, on its own or served over a warm dessert.You can cook a fresh pumpkin for this recipe if you
like, but canned works just fine.
I've used agar powder / flakes to make pseudo whipped
cream or whipped
cream like icing with
coconut milk and other milk alternatives.
I was Gluten Free and Loving It eating orange sherbet with Rogene and we were living gluten free easily with the watermelon sherbet and a bonus milk shake from Shirley while Adrienne felt
like a Whole New Mom eating chocolate almond chip
coconut milk
ice cream.
I
like to sprinkle them on homemade
ice cream sundaes, but I hesitate to recommend baking with the
coconut oil version.
If you keep them in the freezer, they are
like little bites of
coconut / peanut butter
ice cream which is how I
like to eat them.

ice creams for sale where you are I can see them going beautifully with this.
Because this
ice cream has a cashew base and is not made of
coconut milk, it truly tastes
like a classic vanilla
ice cream, rather than some sad approximation of vanilla
ice cream with an odd
coconut flavor.
Dairy - free
coconut alternatives,
like ice cream, cheese, and yogurt, have become a godsend for those with dairy allergies.
If you're looking for «traditional with a twist» options
like peppermint - choc - chip or cookie dough, you can find CocoLuscious
coconut ice cream in independent groceries and health food stores.
They are great on their own and make a perfect base for toppings
like banana
ice cream or
coconut whipped
cream.
Off the top of my head other low carb options could be edamame, Primal strips, flax crackers, yuba, seed bars, TVP, kelp noodles, nori or spring green wraps, cocoa - avocado pudding and of course things
like cauliflower «rice» or «mashed potato», rhubarb crumble (with topping made with almond meal), the new so delicious sugar free

When the mixture reaches the consistency of soft - serve
ice cream, scoop into serving dishes and sprinkle, if you
like, with
coconut, nuts, or a bit more cacao powder.
