There are some really tasty non-dairy ice creams
like coconut milk ice cream at the grocery store but they are so expensive so I really only buy it on sale.
Like COCONUT milk ice cream!

And finally, yes you can use this
coconut milk just
like you'd use any other (including for making

I've found that I don't
like coconut milk by itself (or even in dairy - free
ice cream), but... I don't taste it at all when I use it IN recipes.
Coconut milk is much creamier, almond
milk is a little thick but bland if you go for the unsweetened kind, and flax
milk tastes
like melted vanilla
ice cream.

like, but canned works just fine.
I've used agar powder / flakes to make pseudo whipped
cream or whipped
cream like icing with
coconut milk and other
milk alternatives.

coconut milk, it truly tastes
like a classic vanilla
ice cream, rather than some sad approximation of vanilla

milk does work good in
ice cream, but
like coconut milk it gets hard, really hard.
They cut some corners here by using pumpkin puree for the pumpkin flavoring, a banana for added flavor and texture, and the ever - present
coconut milk that you should basically keep a supply of if you
like ice cream because it's used in just about every Paleo
ice cream recipe worth trying.
When you start adding things
like coconut milk to the equation, as this recipe does, you are only making it more and more
like real
ice cream.
