The main thing I
like about the babyled weaning method is that it makes
eating solids not a set goal that can be done a right way or a
wrong way, but instead a process of going from baby - who - drinks - milk - only to child - who -

food in a slow and self - paced way.

Two maybe three years ago I bought a bag of Chicken Jerky at Cost - Co thinking it would be a healthy treat for my Pug, after
eating these treats I noticed he Mugsy would drink water
like he could not get enough... Then one night he kept coming to me with his ears laid back and hanging with a look in his eye that I knew something was
wrong, went to my daughters house as she is really into dogs and hoping she could figure it out, well she noticed he could not pee no matter how much he tried, so rushed him to the vet, thank God, had I waited he would have died as his bladder was full of crystals and was near rupturing, anyway the vet catheterized him after putting him under anesthesia as it was so painful, after all was said and done and $ 1, ooo.oo later, he ended up on a special diet which we kept him on for well over a year... decided to try a good, but less expensive dog
food, had his urine checked and he was doing fine... I believe it was the chicken jerky and the salt content, but of course I can not be sure and I do not remember the brand... Thankfully he has had no more occurrences, needless to say he does not get chicken jerky anymore and definitely nothing from China at least not that I know of.
I just wanted to add to the «
wrong type of litter» section in that my cats tend to
eat wheat and corn based litter because it smells a bit
like the ever coveted dry
food that they no longer get.
Like humans, cats and dogs get fat when they
eat too much,
eat the
wrong foods, or don't get enough exercise.
There is nothing
wrong with feeding a quality kibble everyday, just
like there is nothing
wrong with you
eating processed
food everyday either.
But, saying that fighting is what drives up the cost of divorce is
like saying that
eating the
wrong foods will make you fat.
