Some like just chewy cookies, others
like flat cookies but me..
Made these according to the recipe and they were
like flat cookies.
Not exact matches
Mine turned out kind of cake
like, really fluffy not
flat like yours look, any ideas how to make them less cake -
like and more chewy
cookie??? And do nt worry they still tasted amazing ha!
They rose
like regular
cookies and were not
flat.
1) Sift self - raising flour into a large mixing bowl 2) Cut the butter into small cubes and mix it with the flour, using two knives to mix the butter and flour together 3) Once the dough achieves a sand -
like mixture, use your hand to compact the dough and knead very gently 4) Sprinkle a cool,
flat surface with flour, and flatten the dough with a rolling pin until it reaches a 1 cm thickness 5) Pre-heat oven to 190 — 200 deg cel 6) Use a round
cookie cutter (or a champagne glass) to cut out small circles of dough 7) Place dough circles on a greased and floured baking tray 8) Bake scones for 15 to 20 minutes or until they have turned golden brown on top 9) Once scones have cooled, cut them sideways into half 10) Mix chopped fresh chives and cream cheese together until they have integrated homogeneously 11) On each scone half, spread some cream cheese and chive mixture, then place a couple of slices of ham and cheese on top, then top with more cream cheese mixture and finally sprinkle with fresh chives
The
cookies will still spread a little, but without the chilling, they end up
flatter than I
like.
Meltaway
cookies can also be made into large,
flat rounds that can be decorated however you
like (
like these bunny
cookies), but most of the time I
like to keep them simple as can be.
Not
like those
flat overly sweet
cookie cakes you can buy in the grocery store.
They did not bake up
like the domed
cookies I was expecting... but
flat like diner pancakes.
i just did the

flat and thin (they're good but not looking
like the pictures in the article or any standard
cookie, much more
flat and large).
Mine are coming out

What I came to learn through this three batch process was that I actually
like the
flat, crispy and crunchy
cookies better than the real deal version.
Of course, if you
like your
cookies to be as
flat as roadkill, use the butter and do not refrigerate them.
Side note:
Like another commenter said, my
cookies also came out more
flat than in the picture.
There seem to be two schools of
cookie —
flat chewy ones and more cake -
like fluffy ones.
When I saw that you could whip the oil with the sugar using a fork I assumed you meant melted, but maybe this is why my
cookies turned out pancake
flat instead of fluffy
like yours in your photos.
The good news,
like you pointed out, is that
flat cookies still taste delicious!
This batch of
cookies i might round for a even more cake
like inside, but you cant press them down on the parchement paper to get
flat cookies.
Mine came out
like large
flat cookies.
Use a greased fork to press the
cookies flat (
like you would with peanut butter
cookies; you can do a single fork mark or make a cross-hatch).
I've cooked up some delicious creations, but sadly none of them have looked
like biscuits — instead, they fall
flat and end up looking more
like smooshed
cookies!
My only complaint was that despite putting chilled balls of dough (not
flat discs) into the oven, the
cookies flattened out completely
like tuiles.

like, so the second batch got thrown in a cupcake tin and baked up so they were thick cups of goodness.
If you're interested in trying them out again (I don't blame you if you're not...) I'd make sure you're using Bob's Red Mill coconut flour and press the
cookies a little
flat to make them look more
like typical
cookies.
