like game controller support for Windows 10 UWP games that we went hands - on with during Build this week.
It does have some positives
like game controller support and a very simplified user interface.

Game developers should realize that people
likes to use
controllers and should code their
games with
support to mapped buttons on keyboard.
You missed the point, those two system ARE N'T JUST about the exclusives, they have MAJOR third party
support & that's key to winning next gen. Third party
games are becoming more & more appealing, not to mention that the Wii spark (which made it the best selling console last gen) has died, no one looks at the WiiU and thinks: «Wow, I
like the new touch screen
controller» because believe it or not, it makes it hard for you to focus from one screen to the other & that doesn't work well with a console that needs to be hooked to a TV (
games that
support switching gameplay from the TV to the
controller are great though!).
Speaking of which there's a good selection of options to help you get the
game balanced just right, with the only caveats being the odd choice to not
support the mouse in menus, which almost feels
like a very deliberate hint that MGSV plays better with a
controller, and a complete lack of an FOV slider.
In fact, No Time To Explain feels
like a
game perfectly suited to an Xbox 360
controller, which is why it's a bit disappointing there's no
support for one.
The amazing amount of
support riding behind Ouya tells me that there are a lot of
gamers like me that want to see something that can easily hook up to my TV with a
controller and have fun playing indie
games.
A good set of
game modes is crucial for a
game like this, where the basis alone couldn't offer you any variety and thankfully the
game modes in Racers are a lot of fun, especially if you have more than one
controller hooked up at a time (the
game supports up to 7 players on screen at once!)
This sounds
like a strange thing to mention, but other
games with MFi
support often require you to quit and reload them to get your
controller support properly working.
Not sure if it's Windows XP - compatible, but an older review at pinball site LastBandit notes:» It's still not
like the real thing (maybe try standing up at your desk and leaning yourself into the keyboard ends, drink and ashtray nearby) but it adds to the feel of playing pinball on a computer... I am disappointed in the lack of
support this
controller has received from pinball
game manufacturers.»
It just looks jarring when you have several highend
games like Jade Empire, NBA 2K17, Implosion, Space Marshals, Renegade Riptide etc that have MFI
controller support and you can air play them, when you have Ember, Titan Quest AND leap of fate (which are great
games as well) not having them.
Try Nvidia shield TV, far more powerful, good
support & some fantastic
games like Half - life 2, Portal, Doom 3, Borderlands 2, Metal Gear Revengence, Ultimate Chicken Horse & the normal apps on the Google play
like Minecraft, GTA San Andreas, Bully etc, all with good
controller support.
Please tell me it's gonna
support the G27 racing wheel, I don't think
game like this should be enjoyed with a
controller.
The fifth edition was updated with iCloud syncing and
game controller support for third party

game in the SEGA Forever lineup is free - to - play, ad -
supported, playable offline, and includes added features
like cloud saves,

controller support so you will not have to share keyboard with your local multiplayer buddies

No details on how the
game actually plays have been released yet, so we don't know if there will be virtual buttons, swipes and other gestures
like Mortal Kombat X, or even

I've heard mention that there is no official keyboard
support for this title, however I couldn't conceive why someone would want to play a
game like this with a keyboard in the first place, not that it shouldn't have the option for those outside my conception, but if you really want it I'm sure there are unofficial options, though if you don't have a
controller I would recommend sitting this one out.
That's something we would really
like to add, however it's not that easy as there is no official
game support for mouse and keyboard in the PS4 firmware so our focus was clearly on a smooth experience using the amazing DualShock
controller.
This doesn't mean you can grab a friend, shove a
controller in their hand and sit side by side as you fight together, as proper local co-op isn't
supported, but as long as there is a nearby player or friend, you will be able to play with them through local connection, but that's only really any good, if you have someone local to play with, which at the time of this review, I didn't, just
like I didn't have the chance to play an online
game with anyone as, no one ever seemed to be online playing Tag Climax, at the same time I was.
The
game is designed to
support the Oculus Rift VR headset (but can be played using a standard monitor), and motion - based
controllers like the Sixense STEM, Razer Hydra, YEI Technology PrioVR and Virtuix Omni.

I spoke to Bitecore Studios to get some developer insights and details on how they made such a great

like Capture the Flag, Time Attack and even Death Match.
Although it
supports MFi
controllers, the touch controls sound
like they work really well for such a complex
game.

game has native
support for an Xbox 360 gamepad (and if you use MotioninJoy, you can use a PS3 pad instead) and is best played with a
controller, because when it comes to a platformer
like this, you're going to want the precision that those supply.
Many of those shooting
games support tracked motion
controllers and gun - shaped
controllers like the PlayStation VR Aim Controller, which are designed to give users a better sense of presence and immersions, by simulating the physical rifle handling both with the control and in -
game.
On the other side of the coin, if your
game does NOT have
controller support, the right touchpad goes into a trackball -
like mode.
Currently, if a
game doesn't
support your
controller, you have to manually configure button mappings with a program
like Xpadder or JoyToKey to get it working — not a convenient experience.

like to see an article covering wich future
games are going to
support the Wii U pro contoller, and if possible wich current
games support it also, I know there aren't that many and I think its a shame because its a comfortable
controller.
I
like that it's not so easy that you can just rush through it (Although I haven't tried the Easy setting so far) I'm playing with a Wireless Xbox One
controller, but the
game supports 2 other configurations as well; Keyboard only and Keyboard + Mouse.
While unique, for a mod
like this to be useful a
game first needs to be compatible with external
controllers — something few Android
games typically
support.

like you can use a Joy - Con
controller to play the
games.
Though the Mi Box
supports Bluetooth
game controllers the
game offerings just aren't there on Android TV — but to be fair the
likes of the Fire TV haven't taken the gaming world by storm either.
However, the Nvidia Shield TV packs a trick up its sleeve by including
support for always - listening commands (just
like Google Home) through the
game controller.
I believe that part of the reason Microsoft wants to get mouse
support on Xbox One isn't necessarily so you can use UWP Office more efficiently, it's so they can package older PC
games for Xbox One and modern computers without having the developers fully retrofit the
games for things
like controller support.
