Many people have told me they don't
like the taste of stevia, so

If you want options,
LAKANTO has them;
LAKANTO Classic is comparable to regular granulated sugar and can be swapped with a 1:1 ratio, while
LAKANTO Golden has the same conversion, but the taste is just a bit more complex with a caramel -
like sweetness.
My favorite version uses maple sugar as the sweetener, which can easily be subbed with
lakanto or other granulated sweeteners
like coconut sugar.

I then added 1/4 honey and 1/2 cup
Lakanto all natural zero glycemic sweetener (sold on amazon) it bakes exactly
like sugar yet there is NO spike in blood sugar and zero calories.
I
like it in my coffee better than swerve but still use swerve in baking cakes because I think it is cheaper but the
lakanto is better for baking cookies where I have found swerve's coolness to interfere.
I'm diabetic so I tweaked this recipe and replaced the honey with
Lakanto Monkfruit Sweetener Golden (Golden is more
like brown sugar, found on Amazon, and is mostly Erythritol with some monkfruit), using 1/3 of a cup, 1/8 cup of water, microwaved until sweetener is dissolved).
Experiment with different types of stevia and sugar alcohols
like xylitol (from birch), erythritol from non-GMO fermented corn and
Lakanto, a mixture of monk fruit and erythritol.
If you must use natural sugar substitutes, at least use safe alternatives
like Stevia, Xylitol and
Lakanto.
