It's so cake -
like and sweet that it can easily pass for dessert, but most often I eat it with a few apples or
other fruit for
breakfast.
The
other day as we were making
breakfast, Joe turned to me and asked, «Is it ratchet that I
like peanut butter better than almond butter?»
I figured he would
like some French toast for
breakfast the
other morning, so I made him some with blueberry vanilla sauce.
This pudding is thick and creamy just
like any
other pudding, only you get to eat it for
breakfast, dessert or snack.
Though I usually make these baked tomato bites recipe as a snack, I noticed the
other day that it is also a great option if you would
like an egg-less
breakfast!
Just because I take a vested interest in my health and I identify as a vegan, doesn't mean I don't want to eat cookies for
breakfast like everyone else (and pizza for every
other meal, duh!).

I love
breakfast around here, so try some of my
other breakfast recipes,
like my baked French toast oatmeal, banana nut muffins, customizable
breakfast cookies, and fudgy brownie oat cookies (they're
breakfast, I promise!).
Just
like the
other cookies featured above, these little babies are healthy enough to eat for
breakfast or a snack even though they taste
like a treat!
If you compare them against
other breakfasts that can slow you down,
like a big farmer's omelet or anything with fried meats, these will provide a much better boost.
I force myself to eat three meals a day — in fact I start with oatmeal every morning and often I find myself looking at food blogs and instagrams of all these
other people eating exotic grain / nut / fruit combos for
breakfast and thinking I should be more healthy
like them!!
It's
like oatmeal; I wouldn't have my
breakfast any
other way.
You can also add in
other flavor enhancers
like grated / chopped milk chocolate (to add sweetness and smoothness), cocoa powder, peanut butter (some tablea are flavored with ground peanuts and this adds a nuttier taste and texture), vanilla extract, or even rum or tequila (I swear I did not do this for
breakfast.
For
breakfast I
like to go with the antithesis of what I'll be eating later in the day, which means I want something
other than an American
breakfast.
It covers
breakfast, stellar bread - based recipes (
like crackers and pizza crust), appetizers, soups, salads, impressive main courses, sides, beverages, sweet treats, and a wealth of health sauces /
other basics.
But I actually held back because they could have been called a million
other things...
like lovely gooey bites... or gluten free
breakfast squares... or deliciously sweet snack bars... you get the idea, right?
I think a good baseline for the
breakfast kale smoothie would be kale, apple, almond milk (or any
other type of dairy free milk) and some protein
like nuts / nut butter.
This Ethiopian buttery grain porridge recipe is often served for
breakfast, but you can also top it with
other dishes
like messer wot (spiced lentils) or gomen (Ethiopian - spiced collards) for lunch or dinner and eat it in place of the traditional flatbread, injera.
A typical full day of eating for me looks
like:
Breakfast: Spinach, Mushroom, Onion and Tomato Frittata... sometimes with bacon or homemade sausage Iced Coffee with coconut milk Lunch (this is usually my largest meal of the day): 4 - 5 ounces of protein (turkey burger, pulled pork, chicken thighs, ground buffalo), roasted veggies and sometimes a sweet potato or butternut squash Snack: apple with almond butter or a handful of macadamia nuts Dinner: A large salad with all kinds of raw veggies (cucumber, celery, carrots, cauliflower), avocado or olives, usually a lighter protein
like grilled chicken breast, salmon or shrimp This would represent a full menu... I would say I hit this about 4 - 5 days a week,
other days I may omit the snack or keep the snack and omit a meal, if i do that though I would add a bit of protein with it.
Many consumers are more frequently choosing to eat
breakfast on - the - go, while
others like to snack on
breakfast items purported perceived as healthier than snacks
like chips and biscuits throughout the day.

You can usually tell how much «extra» time I have on hand by the choice of Makena's
breakfast preps... sometimes I can go all out with something a bit more elaborate and
other times when there is barely any time to think or breathe, I turn to make ahead options

Like other superfood powders, you can simply add a heaped teaspoon of matcha green tea powder into your daily smoothies and
breakfasts to pack that powder into your diet.
Absolutely fallen in love with bircher muesli for
breakfast lately so feel
like I should branch out to
other forms of oats but don't have a slow cooker... what do you think the best way of making something similar without one would be?
My son doesn't
like zucchini, so when I served this to him for

other morning and he asked what it was, I simply said it had almond extract in it and was lemony.
