Hi Ella, unfortunately cashews don't agree with me and so I was wondering what the best
nut alternative would be (e.g. macadamia, brazil, almond etc) for this recipe as well as
others like the carbonara from your book.
Virgin coconut oil is on high rotation in my kitchen, so I'm covered there, but I've recently been adding more variety to my fats by mindfully incorporating things
like avocado, flax /
other seeds and
nuts, and ghee into everyday meals.
My reasoning is that almonds are the most mild of the tree
nuts and are more related to fruits (
like the peach) than to the
other tree
nuts.
I regularly make almond milk and
other nut milks at home and I can assure you all you need are almonds (activated is my preference), water, a pinch of salt and maybe a sweetener
like dates, honey, maple syrup, rice malt syrup or stevia if you feel
like it.
so we had some hazelnuts we blended in the vitamix with filtered water to the point the vitamix got warm and filtered out the fiber with a clean handkerchief (in hindsight i could of not filtered it but i
like the filtered
nut milk with coffee) and mixed together, but it all lacked fiber, so we used muesli (the perfect ingredient) to bulk up the mixture and used brown sugar to sweeten with all the
other ingredients (i know the s word but i'm eating with a non-plant based eater).
Well, these
other books had me so convinced this was the way to go, so I was a little scared to gain the weight back when I decided to take your challenge and start incorporating little bits of whole food fats back into my diet -
nuts /
nut butters and seeds and the
like, without the oils though.
I also
like to use variations on the tomato sauce and pine
nut cream when I'm coming up with
other recipes of my own!

It's a good way to keep baking powder fresh, however I think it's because a lot of people don't bake at home — in France, bags of sugar and flour are much smaller than they are in the states (in the US, there are huge bags of
nuts, flours, sugars, and
other baking ingredients in supermarkets)- which I think is because there are so many bakeries (and in cities
like Paris, kitchens are tiny) and lots of people buy their baked goods rather than make them.
Tahini is sesame seed paste — just
like peanut butter or
other nut butters — but made from sesame seeds.
While these look so pretty with pistachios, I feel
like this recipe would easily lend itself to the use of
other nuts if you don't happen to have pistachios on hand.
The texture is moist and chewier than any
other paleo banana bread I've made, has a great mildly sweet flavor, and you can dress it up any way you
like (chopped
nuts, chocolate chips, raisins, blueberries, etc!)
Gluten free, paleo, keto, packed with filling
nuts and seeds, it's portable, sturdy enough to carry a huge serving of smashed avocado and doesn't have that cakey texture
like many
other paleo bread alternatives.
Nuts contain a wealth of trace minerals, macronutrients, and vitamins, including magnesium, copper, iron, manganese, zinc, calcium, omega - 3s, vitamin E, and folate and
other B vitamins — they're sort of
like multivitamins, except designed by nature.
Note on Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids: Instead of a higher omega - 6 content
nut like a pecan, this recipe uses macadamias which are the lowest in omega - 6 fatty acids by far when compared to
other nuts.
I have not tested this recipe however with these options — but feel free to adjust to your
liking, these alternative options do replace
nuts in
other recipes quite well so I do feel it will work out great for you;)

All of those are absolutely incredible, but I've always been curious about what
other types of
nut milk taste
like.
Same goes for the almonds, if you would rather try using walnuts, hazelnuts or any
other nut you
like, go right ahead.
For No Bake Granola Bars, combine 2 cups old fashioned rolled oats, 1/2 cup oat flour, 2 cups puffed rice cereal, 1/2 cup coconut chips or
other mix - ins (including
nuts, if you
like) into a bowl and mix.
You could certainly add any
other sundae - inspired toppings you
like (i.e. sprinkles,
nuts, etc.) or stick with the classic chocolate drizzle topped with a cherry.
If you don't have any of the ingredients, you can easily substitute for
others,
like granola, dried fruit,
nuts,
other nut butters, Nutella etc...
You can make your own dairy - free milk with almonds, coconut, sesame seeds, hemp seeds, pecan, walnuts, cashews, or whatever

like.
Like the

nuts provide plenty of crunch which encourages you to keep right on chewing.
Before the trip I stocked up on foods
like nuts, Lara bars, dried fruits and
other healthy goodies we could bring across the boarder (can't bring produce unfortunately!).

nut pastes and artificial ingredients to make cheese -
like products.
There are people who
like adding
nuts into their brownies and
others who prefer their brownies plain and smooth.

nut base maybe I will actually
like the way this tastes... unlike any

Also, feel free get creative with add - ins
like nuts, raisins or
other dried fruit.
You could also easily add in chia seeds and
