I usually
like to keep my skincare routine as simple but as natural as possible with
pure olive oil as a moisturizer and a simple soap for cleansing.
What a mess this recipe was... * sigh * I have enjoyed
oil - poaching other things
like Salmon and Halibut, and recently discovered the
pure joy of Duck Confit... but this was just a disgusting mess of oily chicken and a poor use of good quality
olive oil.
(We
like to use a light coating of
pure olive oil.)
Unrefined means that the
oil hasn't been exposed to high temperatures or chemical solvents, which are typical processing methods used with refined oils
like canola, vegetable, and
pure / regular
olive oil (not extra-virgin).
I've simplified my life by using products made of natural materials
like organic
olive oil, sesame
oil, and
pure shea butter.
Maty's uses oils in their
pure, natural state (
like coconut, jojoba, and
olive oil) and ingredients
like chamomile and nutmeg (instead of melatonin), which both have calming effects.
I reserve my
pure extra virgin
olive oil for topping things
like this salad, and use tallow, butter and lard to cook / fry with since they're more cost effective.
If you don't
like a coconut flavor and prefer a more traditional «mayo taste» you can use
pure (not extra virgin)
olive oil.
That said an egg fast is not an extreme measure and it is just restricting your diet to eggs, cheese and butter or other
pure and healthy fats
like MCT,
olive or coconut
oil, NOT bacon fat.
