But, if you have another card that earns Unlimited
Rewards (UR) points
like the Chase Sapphire Preferred or
regular Chase Freedom card, you can convert your Freedom Unlimited points into UR points and combine them with the bonus points you earn from those other cards.
The yearly gifts are solid, but more
regular rewards like a free checked bag each flight or discounts on in - flight purchases (
like the JetBlue Plus card offers, for example) would be very welcome.
Regular guy
like me who pay full credit card balance off every month and count
rewards as passive income will not find any value out of Walmart Moneycard.

like me and you want to keep things simple, go out there and find a decent cash back
rewards card
like David mentioned and just use it for your
regular spending that you're going to be doing anyway.
Like the
regular Chase Freedom (which is still available), you'll earn 15,000 Chase Ultimate
Rewards points ($ 150) after meeting minimum spending requirements.
I didn't think the «normal» sapphire was still being offered, but anyways I would not recommend it as the Sapphire preferred is so much superior and well worth the $ 95 / annual fee, which you can get back with the ability to make freedom points (either unlimited at 1.5 X's or
regular) into Ultimate
rewards points, the no foreign transaction fees (remember not to go for the trick: would you
like this in currency x or in dollars - it's tempting to go for a dollar dominated transaction, but in essence, the way I understand it, you get charged a «transaction fee» to go from the home foreign currency into dollars, whereas the CSP card already pays for this transaction fee, so it's really a tricky semi-scam in my opinion.
But it does NOT have rotating 5X Chase Ultimate
Rewards points (5 % cash back) quarterly bonus categories
like the
regular Chase Freedom card.
If you don't carry a balance and would
like to earn flexible
rewards on
regular spending
like gas and dining out, then this Citi ThankYou ® Premier Card is a good choice.
Our
regular readers know by now that we're huge fans of collecting flexible points,
like Chase Ultimate
Rewards.
Though the bank also has a Spark Miles Select card that sounds
like a higher - level credit card it's not as
rewarding as the
regular Spark Miles card, which is Capital Ones most
rewarding business credit card.
