like to add
roasted corn and some black beans to mine to make it a little more substantial but most of the family prefers it the simpler way.
Fluffy
corn pudding with a soufflé -
like consistency, laced with cheese and a little kick of
roasted poblano heat.
A delicious hearty and healthy veggie burger recipe made with black beans and
roasted corn, that is easy to make and easy to make vegan if you
like.
Today I made this unda - style by mixing an egg with plain yogurt, milk, and a little
roasted - red - pepper hummus and cooked it gently
like an omelet, then put spinach and a
corn tortilla on it before turning it over.
Other odds and ends — all in very small amounts of 2 to 4 tablespoons — in addition to the refried beans, Mexican rice, eggplant, tortillas, and grilled bread included a more risotto -
like rice, caramelized onions (sort of fajita style), bronzed carrots (slices of carrot
roasted with blackening seasoning and brown sugar), green beans cooked with tomatoes and onion, very thick pureed white bean soup, about 5 sweet potato fries, a couple of artichoke hearts, a dab of
roasted red peppers, and half of a veggie burger made with black beans and
corn.
The high quality of ingredients is what makes menu items
like the recently featured Caribbean chicken salad, with jerk chicken,
roasted corn and pineapple salsa, among other ingredients, a step above other fast - casual - dining experiences.
If you'd
like to add another texture and flavor (as well as some good, healthy fat), feel free to add some avocado to the
roasted corn salsa.
Started with Thanksgiving shredded turkey leftovers and some smoked chicken (marinated together in about 1/4 c of bbq sauce while prepping other ingredients), used fire -
roasted diced tomatoes and also peas —
like your version (and no chiles, limas, or
corn — didn't have them on hand).
Serve with a salad featuring chickpeas (I especially
like this with Chickpea Salad with
Roasted Peppers, Tomatoes, and Basil) and fresh
corn on the cob.
On the other hand, if you have access to amazing fresh ears of
corn that you'd
like to
roast or barbecue, they will definitely shine here!
I am not very big fan of sweet
corn but I enjoy
corns in a few variations
like «
roasted bhutta» and these crisp
corn kernels.
You might want to try adding black beans,
roasted corn, chopped bell peppers, chopped avocado or fresh fruit
like mango.
I
like it because it's thick and chewy and tastes
like fresh
roasted corn when warmed.
These buns go great with soups

Like, for example, I had no idea there was such a thing as frozen FIRE -
ROASTED corn!
A caramel popcorn aspect is apparent in the cup,
roasted corn and caramelizing sugars, a sweet / savory mix, that gives way to layers of raw sugars and toasted nut tones
like almond in the finish with a sweet toffee accent.
My salads have to be packed with things
like pasta, baked potatoes, sweet potatoes, rice,
corn, tempeh, brussels sprouts, chickpeas, cauliflower,
roasted carrots, millet, wheat berries or quinoa....
Because I always
like to round out my meals with some veggies, I went and
roasted up some
corn and zucchini.
