Like you, I have a major
sweet tooth and after weaning my
family off of white sugar, I have been dying for brownies (my all time favorite)!
However, my
family and I do not
like sweet treats being overly
sweet.
Also, you may want to add a bit more, if your
family likes their drinks
sweeter.
Like most of the latino
families, mine is very particular about dessert, we need a delicious and
sweet dessert after a good meal, and we always try to make something that it will be easy to share with everyone.
Our
family likes Sausage and Peppers served on it's own with a salad, or over baked
sweet potatoes, rice, quinoa, polenta or gluten free noodles.
Feel free to mix in some
sweet pickles or hot sauce, if those are flavors that your

The first time I had Thanksgiving dinner with my husband's
family, I was inclined to pass along the
sweet potatoes, knowing that I wouldn't
like them.

Personally, what I really
like about my
family's recipe is that the tamales have a more subtle sweetness, they are never overly
sweet.
Most kids love a
sweet cold treat, so making this dessert -
like beverage for breakfast has been the best healthy habit my
family and I have made this year.
The first time I felt it was a bit on the
sweet side and the second it seemed a bit too vinegary but
family liked it both times.
If you really think about it, it provides us with enjoyment from what we put in our coffee, to the cheese in our
