It isn't a slouchy boot, but if you're
like me with average to small
calves, the boot is a little loose in the
calf (at their
widest, my
calves are 13» in diameter) and I consider these boots to be a little big, but I could easily fit leggings and skinny jeans in them.
If you have
wide calves like me (17 ″) and slim ankles these will fit well.
At 5» 2 ″, I love the aesthetic of OV clothing but found the legging lengths (kneecap leggings hit at the
widest part of a petite's
calves, which isn't the most flattering; 7/8 leggings are wayyyy too long; leaving us only with 3/4 length) inconvenient for petite wear; and the crop tops, because they have no cups, flattened out my chest and required extra steps (
like another sports bra underneath?)
So many times
wide calf boots are made
like tree trunks with no shape at all.
Also, I think you need to define «
wide calf» because Frye boots do not do well on athletic or chunky
calves (
like mine).
I have a
wide calf, and a thin ankle, and straight boots without ankle definition makes my entire leg look
like a log —
wide and fat.
However, if you tried the slightly shorter version of Hunters (not the booties — the slightly shorter look exactly
like the classic talks but are... uh... slightly shorter — clearly I have a way with words) they are actually made for girls with a
wider calf.
