battery here (compared to the 3,600 mAh one in the S7 Edge), but Samsung has taken advantage
of the 835's power efficiency improvements, along with
likely improved efficiency
of its AMOLED displays, to squeeze
out as much
battery life as possible.
If you never used the
battery percentage indicator option then you
likely won't be affected by this change at all, but for those that did use it this was a nice way to not only catch a glimpse
of your
battery life by looking at the icon, but it made it so you really didn't have to guess at how much
battery life you had left, and you didn't have to enter into the
battery settings menu to find
out what the percentage was.
LG will
likely have to squeeze in a large
battery or find an efficient way to extend
battery life to compensate for this feature if it turns
out to be part
of the G5.
And if Samsung won't let you access the guts
of the phone to swap
out microSD cards, it's not
likely to let you replace the
battery either.
