In the last few weeks, I've sampled everything from a 3
page literary short story (Homelanding by Margaret Atwood) to a 56 page modern SF (Wool by Hugh Howey)-- and longer!
The book had about 18,000 pages read in a week on Kindle Unlimited, as well as a spike in paid sales — not bad considering the book's genre,
literary short stories, and that it was around the New Year's holiday.
Greg Stolze, author of «Two Things She Does with Her Body» and «Regret, With Math,» received over $ 300 for each short story — more than many authors earn from traditional publishers for
literary short stories.
I may submit
a literary short story to an SF magazine.
