litre diesel engine of the A-Class now gets more powerful and churns out 134 BHP of power (27 BHP more) with 300 Nm of torque (50 Nm more).
However, in Australia, Jeep will replace the existing 2.8 -
litre diesel engine of the Wrangler, which we also get in India, with a 2.2 - litre diesel engine.

Manufactured at AM General's plant in Mishawaka, Ind., its 6.2 -
litre, 150 - horsepower V8
diesel engine provided ludicrous volumes
of torque but could barely crack 100 km / h.

litre four - cylinder TDI unit (which manages impressive economy figures
of 67mpg and 112g / km
of CO2) to a 3.0 -
litre V6 TDI with 241bhp.
Despite utilising power from a turbocharged 2 -
litre diesel engine producing significantly less power — it peaks at 187bhp — the arrival
of 295 lb ft
of torque from just 1750rpm gives the BMW enough punch to worry a supercar worth more than four times its list value.
Under the bonnet is a member
of Mazda's SkyActiv
engine family in 1.5 -
litre diesel form.
Powered by a combination
of four and six - cylinder petrol and
diesel engines, the current flagship is the P380 model, which features a 3 -
litre supercharged V6
engine.
Otherwise, expect the same combination
of four - cylinder petrol and
diesel engines making up the bulk
of the
engine range, as well as an entry - level 318i utilising a turbocharged 1.5 -
litre three - cylinder unit.
The previous D3 used a tuned version
of BMW's four - cylinder
diesel engine, but the new Biturbo has moved up a segment — switching to BMW's 3 -

of CO2 and averaging 76.3 mpg on the combined cycle.
The R18 TDI is a 3.7
litre V6 530 - ish HP
diesel engine used in Audi's Le Mans car that won 16
of 33 races it took part in.
This is where the R - Design's thin veneer
of sportiness starts to crumble, as it's only available with a 2 -

The bulk

engine under the bonnet (up 20kW / 26Nm for 2018), the H9's touring range and low - end grunt are still noticeably shy
of gutsier turbo -
diesel rivals.
For now the
engine line up is restricted to two choices, both with a pair
of power outputs: the 2.2 -
litre diesel comes with either 178bhp or 207bhp and a new 2.0 -
litre aluminium four - cylinder petrol gets 198bhp or 276bhp.
The BMW 116d powered by a 2 -
litre four - cylinder 85 kW / 115 bhp
diesel engine is available both in a 5 - door and a 3 - door version and, with a fuel consumption
of 4.5
litres / 100 km in the EU test cycle, it offers better fuel economy than any other model
of this series.
