But that's basically due to the effort involved for this smaller 2.0 -
litre motor in lugging 2240kgs of SUV into motion.

litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine, producing 335bhp, mated to a 132bhp electric
motor, the E-Hybrid has a total system output of 455bhp - some 22bhp more than the Cayenne S. Packing 14.1 kWh of battery capacity, the Cayenne E-Hybrid is able to sail to a silent electric range of around 27 miles, and will recharge from a 230V power source
in 7 - 8 hours.

As ever with an AMG, it's the
motor that is the star of the show,
in this case it's the mighty 4.0 -
litre biturbo V8.
The electric
motors create impressive initial thrust off the line, there is then a very slight drop
in the shove as the 3.5 -
litre V6 takes over before normal service is resumed and the combined forces propel you all the way to as much as 191mph.

in tandem with a single electric
motor, the P1's bespoke twin - turbocharged 3.8 -
litre V8 helps produce a 903bhp peak output.
In terms of grunt the 911 is also playing catch up, its 3.4 -
litre flat - six some 30bhp down on the F - type's 375bhp 3 -
litre motor, while the V6's supercharger means the gulf between the torque figures is even wider — 339 lb ft playing 288 lb ft.. The 911 does counter these deficits with a healthy 164 kg weight advantage, however.
It uses the company's familiar 3 -
litre twin - turbocharged petrol engine, working
in conjunction with a 40kW electric
motor.
A 552bhp / 516 lb ft 4 -
litre twin - turbo V8 petrol engine — as seen
in the Audi RS6 and RS7 — is mated to a 110kW / 295 lb ft electric
motor, which is powered by a rear - mounted lithium - ion battery.
It's been supplanted by a 6.75 -
litre twin - turbo V12 similar to the N74
motor in the Rolls - Royce Ghost.
It made for a cult car
in its day, boosting the little 1.6 -
litre twin - cam
motor from 115bhp to 150bhp.
Two models will be launched next March, the 118bhp Cooper and 172bhp Cooper S. Both use a 1.6 -
litre engine, with the S beng turbocharged (as opposed to the supercharged
motor in the outgoing drop - top).
So, the four - cylinder, two -
litre, twin - scroll turbocharged powerplant will be ditched
in favour of a new
motor.

motors and a lithium - ion battery pack with a turbocharged and supercharged 2 -

It's a diesel - electric hybrid, the 27bhp supplementary
motor housed
in the 7G - Tronic transmission and working with the 2.1 -
litre combustion engine
in 201bhp output.
Power for the hybrid comes from Audi's supercharged 3.0 -
litre V6 engine that produces 333 horsepower, and it is connected to a three - phase synchronous electric
motor which receives power from a 38 kW NiMH battery which is located
in the spare wheel well.
The bigger 2.3 -
litre four - cylinder turbo
motor comes
in three different power outputs, with the full - on Aero - spec version having been upped slightly to a whopping 260bhp.
